2012 was filled with exciting designer collaborations highlighting affordable fashions from some of our favorite designers. Out of all of the top contenders, you chose the Jason Wu for Target collection as the best collaboration of the year. Wu's 53-piece "gamine chic" line — all items were priced under $60 — debuted in February, showcasing Wu's penchant for designing feminine pieces with a fresh twist via crisp peplum tops, sweet floral-print dresses, Peter Pan collars, and pleated skirts. "I wanted the collection to have a sophisticated voice with an American sportswear spin," said Wu. A big congratulations to Jason Wu — check out the winning collection in the slideshow now!

Jason Wu Pre-Fall 2013
A day before he presented his Pre-Fall 2013 collection to editors and buyers, Jason Wu posted a photo of "Martha Hunt giving Jerry Hall realness" to Instagram. If Hunt was busy channeling that queen of '70s glamour and seduction during the lookbook shoot for this offering, it's because that's the feeling Wu was after.
br>
Extending the unexpectedly sexy tone of his Spring 2013 collection, Wu created a luxuriously worked collection of dresses and gowns that captured the liberated spirit of the decade. The sheer chevron panels on his evening gowns, for example, alternated with wide swaths of sequins that kept the wearer covered up. Elsewhere the sex appeal toughed up, with dresses and slim trousers in leather (or a graphic black, white, and yellow eel skin pattern) and belts accented by chain-link hardware.

Kristen Stewart's Latest Has Us Inspired (and a Little Surprised)
The surprising thing about Kristen Stewart's Jason Wu look at the LA screening of On the Road wasn't that it was lacy, sheer, and nude-paneled (because we know she loves a great play on all three), but that she gave new styling life to an ultrafeminine, high-waisted short. We love the idea of opting for this masculine-meets-girlie piece over a festive miniskirt, especially when it comes time to get dressed for tomorrow night's holiday party. It's an easy (read: comfortable) outfit choice, and it provides considerable texture and dynamic in one fell swoop. But, unlike Kristen, you don't have to follow suit on the matching separates. In fact, implementing a more casual silky blouse with a great statement necklace could be just as impressive, if not more of a styling statement, than going the two-piece-set route. We've got to admit, though, her Barbara Bui heels are the perfect go-between for the girl who doesn't want to part with her flats but needs a footwear punch-up . . . someone kind of like Kristen. The only thing we're going to emphatically suggest here is this: switch it up with shorts (the party-ready kind seen here) for an unexpected fashion twist. Now, all you have to do is shop our favorite pairs below.

In the Mood For . . . a Little Asian-Inspired Romance
There are some movies we'll never take out of our rainy-day rotation, and Wong Kar-wai's nuanced romance In the Mood For Love fits the bill. While we're mostly swept away by its lush portrait of an unlikely star-crossed relationship, it's the gorgeous 1960s-inspired wares we're looking to right now for a little Fall pick-me-up. Brocade finishes are tinged with embroidered fabrics and costume jewels are adorned to modestly-cut sheaths, and all in the richest prints and sultry red tones. The more we daydream about these luxe designs, the more we see a connection between this retro love story from Hong Kong and the chinoiserie influences spotted on the Fall '12 runways.

Clockwise from left: Wong Kar-wai's In the Mood For Love, Oscar de la Renta Beaded Tassel Clip Earrings ($395), Jason Wu Fall 2012, Lanvin Lace-Appliquéd Silk Chiffon and Satin Dress ($4,995), Miu Miu Embroidered Satin-Covered Leather Loafers ($650), Diane Kruger, Zara Embroidered Velvet Box Evening Bag ($80)
Jason Wu left no decadent stone unturned with a nod to sensual Asian-inspired silhouettes, and we have stunning leg-baring gowns to show for it. Alber Elbaz showed off his affinity to ladylike dresses, all absolutely dripping in jewels at Lanvin, which provided just the right amount of feminine glamour. And at Oscar de la Renta and Miu Miu, the focus on nostalgia abroad was honed in via bold embroidered details and even bolder gem-encrusted accessories. As we head into a season fraught with icy temps and a more covered-up styling approach, let these inspired finds remind you that Fall is begging to be drawn upon for its dark, moody (read: chinoiserie) romance.
Karolina, Coco, and Erin Talk Style — and Halloween — at Bergdorf's Bash
Last night, Bergdorf Goodman celebrated their 111th anniversary at NYC's Plaza Hotel with many fashionable guests. Karolina Kurkova arrived with Roberto Cavalli on her arm, while other model-designer pairs, including Erin Heatherton and Jason Wu and Coco Rocha and Zac Posen, made the rounds inside the Plaza's ballroom — take a look inside Bergdorf's glamorous bash. We were on the red carpet to ask the attendees all about their on-duty — and Halloween — style. Erin was thrilled with her ensemble for the night, telling us, "This is my most outrageous fashion moment!"
Karolina, meanwhile, is focusing on her son Archie's plans for Halloween. She told us, "For me, it's all about my 3-year-old son. He already decided what he's gonna be: Spider-Man! He's been sleeping in his costume every night — it's very cute — with the mask and everything."
Coco's not a mom just yet, but she reflected on her June 2010 wedding to husband James Conran and the kindness of designers like her friend Zac. She told us, "People have been so kind to me. Zac Posen, for example, [designed] my wedding dress. There are people who are so amazing in this industry that you don't have to buy things when you're a model!"
