Valentine's Day is around the corner — and just because you're not in a relationship, doesn't mean you're flying solo. You're planning a night of dinner and drinks with your fellow single señoritas — and as a testament to your single-and-fabulous self, I've put together a few stylish looks that will have you feeling fancy, feminine, and best of all, free. Now go forth and be fabulous.
Someone call the fire department. Tinsley Mortimer is burning a fashionable trail in her smokin' hot ensemble at Bravo's Launch My Line premiere in NYC. The socialite-cum-designer worked it in a bodacious purple ruffled frock paired with a fantastic fringe clutch. Tinsley knows that fringe can sometimes overpower an outfit, so she chose a petite shape to show off just the right amount of swoosh. Smart and sassy.
Marion Cotillard continued to live up to her Parisian chic status at the London premiere of Public Enemies. The actress stepped onto the red carpet in a red satin strapless Vivienne Westwood dress that's all about the bustier bodice. Her accompanying black accessories — Stella McCartney clutch and ankle-strap platforms — pull in depth without distracting. The result? A look that's simple and complex at the same time.

My high school senior prom dress was Jessica McClintock. I am happy to announce that I still adore what I wore to prom; it was a strapless champagne mermaid gown, with a rhinestone border along the fold at the bustline. It may sound boring, but it was classic. Admittedly, I haven't purchased a piece of Jessica since, but I'm thinking this Jessica McClintock Beaded Soft Clutch ($68) would add character to a simple LBD. Thoughts?
It's not the most obvious trend but if you cross your strap, you'll be hands-free and styling with the likes of Chloe Sevigny. Cross-body evening bags are perfect for those nonchalant evenings out on the town — or concerts! — and it's a fun way to make use out of your fancy little bags. I've already jumped on this utilitarian trend, will you do the same?
mocelebgossisme says it best: go gold or go home! And it doesn't hurt that her voluminous dress lends a pretty convincing argument for her case. The gold color looks great against her bronzed skin, and I love the gathering of the skirt. This one gets a perfect 10!
Here's what she has on:
- Dress: Jessica McClintock
- Sandals: White House/Black Market
- Bangle: Dillards
- Earrings: Swarovski
Congrats to mocelebgossisme!
