Yoox Brings Cavalli and Sander Online

Yoox.com is using its established shopping power to bring some heavy hitters into the world of e-commerce.

Yoox.com is using its established shopping power to bring some heavy hitters into the world of e-commerce. Last week, we heard Roberto Cavalli was launching a shopping site powered by Yoox in late November. The whole Cavalli world will be up for grabs: men- and womenswear, watches, eyewear, pets, and underwear, all starting with the Fall 2009 season. Today, Jil Sander's site opens its doors. And it's all there: women's and men's ready-to-wear, shoes, bags, eyewear and fragrances. There's free shipping and promotions for the next 10 days, so hop to. Both efforts are to establish a closer repertoire with costumers, and, obviously, sell, sell, sell.

Celeb Style: Olivia Wilde

It's been a while since we last saw Olivia Wilde, but like the saying goes, absence makes the heart grow fonder.

It's been a while since we last saw Olivia Wilde, but like the saying goes, absence makes the heart grow fonder. The actress looked nothing short of stupendous wearing a gray silk draped Escada dress and textured Jimmy Choo sandals at the Escada fragrance presentation in Spain today. I like that she kept her accessories to a minimum by adorning her wrist with a bold black and gold stone cuff. Sometimes, a little pizzazz goes a long way.

>> Uniqlo has just set up a website for Jil Sander's +J line, with a list of individual price points and a few more of those David Sims-lensed promotional photos featuring Isabeli Fontana than we've seen before.  There have been plenty of photos of the line — which runs $19.50-$149.50 and is out Oct. 1 — lying flat, but it's always nice to see how they lay on the body.  The site also features the mantra:  "Open the future / Luxury will be simplicity. / Purity in design, beauty, and comfort for all. / Quality for the people. / Basics are the common language. / The future is here: +J."

You can't go wrong when you pair affordable, well-tailored clothes with the illustrious Isabeli Fontana.

You can't go wrong when you pair affordable, well-tailored clothes with the illustrious Isabeli Fontana. Uniqlo and Jil Sander did just that for the debut of their new line, +J. The Fall '09 campaign, shot by David Sims, catches Isabella absolutely breathtaking in a windblown stance wearing a cozy Chesterfield coat from the collection, which by the way only costs $155! The black-and-white image match +J's simple aesthetic, and check out how her crazy, tousled hair adds a cool twist. Love what you see? The new line, debuting Oct. 1, will also include knitwear, denim, shirts, button-down jackets, and sweaters all priced from $20 to $150.

First Look: Jil Sander's +J Line for Uniqlo

>> It's the moment we've been waiting for: a peek at Jil Sander's return to fashion.

>> It's the moment we've been waiting for: a peek at Jil Sander's return to fashion.  Vogue has the first look of her +J line for Uniqlo, full of "masculine shirts with tiny, crisp collars; cuffed flannel pants; blazers with collar straps so they can be worn snugly buttoned up; and coats — many, many coats; . . . teeny-tiny cotton skirts; . . . legging-pants," in cotton, wool, or nylon.

The palette sticks to gray, black, and khaki, "with the occasional splash of purple or pink," and although we're hearing the line is 140 pieces and hitting stores in October with prices starting at around $25, Vogue says the prices haven't been finalized — although nothing will be over $149.50 — and as for a store date, "Fall is all Uniqlo wants to say."

Jil Sander Sticks to the Same for Fall 2009 Ad Campaign

>> Raf Simons is sticking to the same team as Spring 2009 for his Fall 2009 Jil Sander campaign — stylist Olivier Rizzo, photographer Willy Vanderperre, model Natasha Poly — and the images, shot May 1 in Paris, are very similar to Spring 2009 — Natasha Poly standing in profile, but instead of a high contrast white background, she's bathed in black.
