>> Juergen Teller wore an oversized white T-shirt and super-short blue satin shorts edged with white piping for a recent interview with the Independent — a practice he apparently picked up on the set of the Spring 2004 Marc Jacobs campaign shoot he did with Charlotte Rampling: "I got to Paris, and to my complete horror I couldn't fit into any of the clothes. I was too fat." Juergen had chosen to shot himself for Jacobs's menswear that season, but the only piece he could fit into was a pair of silver satin shorts. The decision was made, and supposedly, he's worn the style religiously since.

>> The Louis Vuitton Cruise 2010 we saw last week was the work of new Vuitton design director Julie de Libran, who has taken Peter Copping's place now that he's heading up Nina Ricci; apparently for some time now, Marc Jacobs has entrusted Resort designing to one of his lieutenants.
Meanwhile, the Fall 2009 ads for his namesake label are starting to appear; one with Natasa Vojnovic leaning out of a building precariously, and another a collage of portraits of Natasa, Ajuma Nasenyana, and Kamila Filipcikova. Irina Kulikova and Olga Sherer are also supposed to appear in the Juergen Teller-lensed set.
If you've ever wondered what models look like after partying the night away, peep at Marc Jacobs's Fall '09 campaign. The ad, shot by Juergen Teller, features Natasa Vojnovic, Ajuma Nasanyana, Kamila Filipcikova, and Olga Sherer looking glamorously tipsy wearing Marc's colorful '80s-inspired frocks. To add more emphasis to the throwback theme, the models are styled with opaque tights, teased hair, and makeup reminiscent of Madonna's heyday. It's a little kooky, a little cool — what do you think?
>> In honor of Lanvin's first London store, Alber Elbaz — who is apparently on a post-show, protein-only diet — flew in to give a guided tour of his Spring 2009 collection. During the day, there was a "girls only" policy, but at night, the ladies — Alexandra Shulman, Yasmin Le Bon, Anouck Lepere — were joined by the menfolk — Jefferson Hack, Juergen Teller, Jonathan Newhouse. Microphone in hand, Elbaz had the audience "in stitches," according to WWD, as he cracked jokes while presenting: “I dress women. I don’t undress them — unfortunately. My mother would be happy if I did.”
As for his denim collaboration with Acne: “It’s so nice when Acne tells me, ‘No problem, we can do that.’ I live in Paris, where you ask a cab driver to take you somewhere and he says ‘No.’” When he introduced Anna de Rijk, hot off the runway, as his bride, he joked on his decision to carry wedding dress in the store: “I have friends — Liz Taylor types — who are on their third and fourth weddings. They tell me they need a different dress for each one.” And to wrap it up, a little comment on what women want: “Next to chocolate or a rose, I think the only thing that can make a woman happy is maybe a pink dress.”

>> A couple of Marc Jacob's Spring 2009 ads have been floating around, but now we've got what looks to be the complete set — collect them all! No odd legs-coming-out-of-shopping-bag shot this time — it's all Raquel Zimmermann standing on chairs, leaning against ladders, and balancing on monster-sized carts in a pastoral pomegranate mini-orchard. Juergen Teller did the honors again this time around, though — you can see his shadow in a few pictures — so there's still one distended legs-coming-out-of-nowhere shot.

Many were surprised when Vivienne Westwood announced her Spring muse, Pamela Anderson. But really, Westwood strikes me as a fly-by-the-seat-of-her-pants girl so I wasn't shocked — I was curious. You may recall Pamela was a muse for photographer David LaChapelle for a while, so we've seen her in quirky fashion situations. Shot by Juergen Teller in LA, the ads are a mess of bright light, Vivenne herself, and disorientation at random spots like the laundry mat and the middle of the street. The clothes are a bit difficult to focus on, but Pamela is definitely doing her thing for the camera. I quite like the beach background shot and Pamela and Vivenne are a fun duo. Are you feeling the fun in the sun?
>> ON THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL —It's been a few seasons since Marc Jacobs and Juergen Teller took the nature route for their ad collaborations, but here Raquel Zimmermann is in quite the pastoral setting. Judging by this first picture, the campaign seems to be taking off the edge that the darker Fall 2008 set and the subversive Spring 2008 set had. [Models.com]

While we wait to see who bagged the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show — and it's not Raquel Zimmermann, who is in Venice, shooting the Marc Jacobs Spring 2009 campaign with Juergen Teller instead — the Angels made a store appearance today in Miami. Izabel Goulart was noticeably missing, and Behati Prinsloo, who also has a VS contract, but mostly works with the company's PINK line, was there in her stead. Is Izabel no longer an Angel?
