Come one, come all to the fantasy land of Christian Lacroix for La Redoute. If you enjoyed his RTW Fall collection ads, get a load of this! This is one of the coolest fashion websites I've gotten distracted on in a long time, but more importantly, the French couturier is taking a stab at affordable luxury. Keeping it all in the French family, he has teamed up with mail order company La Redoute to bring us some frilly fashion and homewares extraordinaire. Some items featured in the Alice in Wonderland-esque online fantasy world, featuring model Lily Cole, are already available to purchase online. I think that red ruffled coat and the leather slouchy booties are très magnifique!

The new lifestyle line from French fashion designer Christian Lacroix just oozes style and luxury. Part of the Autumn 2007 clothing and home collection designed exclusively for French retailer La Redoute, the rich wares include chairs, accessories, bedding, and even stickers.
Judging by the descriptions, these products feel as good as they look: The gorgeous Bauduc towel collection is finished with velour on one side and bouclé on the other. But despite their richness, the products are surprisingly well-priced. You can buy some of the products on La Redoute's U.S. retail site and view the entire collection online. n. Fabric with puckered surface created in the finishing process. Could be made from any fine material, like organdy, lawn, etc. Treated with a caustic soda solution which shrinks parts of the goods either all over or in stripes giving a blistered effect. Similar to seersucker in appearance. French, from past participle of plisser, "to pleat."

Here is a piece that has prim, Victorian-era roots, but can be modern and sexy too, making it perfect for the office. A frill-necked blouse is a classic piece that can be worn from day, buttoned up, into the night, go on, unbutton a couple more.
