I'm all for things floaty and colorful, but something about this Lacey Parker One Shoulder Ruffle Cami ($245) doesn't sit quite right with me. Maybe it's the odd splashes of color or maybe it's the material, but I'm not convinced. Are you?

Ombre is beginning to rear its pretty head and while it feels very warm-weathery, I'm already seeking a new ombre addition. I'm still on the fence though — some of these items are dope, while some of them are dull. Here's the dilemma: It's a trendy motif, but only looks good on fine fabrics. Case in point: ombred fur at J. Mendel's Spring '08 show (pictured). Thus, one should seek out an ombre that looks expensive but doesn't break the bank. Ah, the trials and tribulations of fashion . . .
I must share the exciting news: I found my New Year's outfit! OK, it doesn't involve a one shoulder top, but I bought one of those along the way. Back to New Year's: Be sure to look for it in my Look Book next year! As for the one shoulder top I got, it reminded me how sexy the bare shoulder can be, and this has got to be the perfect date or night-on-the-town top. So it may be a a bit disco . . . I've got disco fever.
