Where do we even start with our love of moto jackets? They instantly give your look a downtown-cool spin — plus, they're a great investment; you'll keep them for years to come. Today, we're highlighting a few of our favorites that are on the market right now. If you don't already have a basic black version, you need to get one, stat! For those of you who are ready to explore beyond the basics, we have sequined, tweed, and jacquard options that you will seriously love. Watch on to see our picks! Hair and makeup by Kasia Bohos.
Elle Macpherson's latest sleek and edgy NYC look has inspired us to add the perfect pair of pinstripe pants to our wardrobes. Pinstripes are traditionally more businesslike, but we love how the leggy blonde took the print to a whole new badass level via a cropped leather J Brand jacket. We also admire the way Elle balanced her separates with simple pieces: a gray tee, nude Christian Louboutin pumps, a matching stud Bottega Veneta clutch, a gold watch, a collar necklace, and oversized shades. Channel Elle's model style with pinstripe trousers paired with a cropped leather jacket for drinks with the girls, or play up your professional side with a blouse and blazer for a business lunch.
We all know a gal — or, ahem, happen to be a gal — with expensive taste. She's fancy, traipsing around town in Louboutins, partying in Prada, and always with her eye on the high-priced prize. So what do you get the girl who has everything? When money is no object, gift her with a bejeweled silk-chiffon top ($330) or a chic pair of suede ankle boots ($750). Sergeantkero is ready to rock out in her dynamic, DIY shredded tee and skinny jeans. I fancy her simple color scheme and superb styling skills. Notice how the accessories add the right amount of femininity to her rad 'fit.
Here's what she has on:
Congrats to sergeantkero!

As compared with Diane Von Furstenberg's flirty, bohemian Spring 2009 collection, her Pre-Fall offerings are more structured and urban. We have to say, we are enchanted by this fresh perspective--as much as we love ourselves a hippie dress in the middle of the summer there is nothing more tempting than DVF clothing gone classic. That eggplant, buttery soft leather bomber on the right? Yeah, that's a good example of what we're talking about.
We stopped in our tracks when we saw the zip-front jeans and then the real love started brewing when we saw the sleek leather jackets designer Lyndsey Butler put out this Fall 08. Motorcycle jackets sometimes make us feel like little boys but Butler's line, Veda, turns out the perfect balance of feminine and masculine tailoring. Learn more about her, like we did, right here.
Who's in the market for a leather jacket? If you've done your research, you know that even a basic leather jacket can seriously break the bank. And I refuse to fork over a thousand bucks for one.
I currently have three leather jackets lined up for Fall. To my surprise, my Gray Faux Leather Biker Jacket by Mossimo ($35, left) is by far my favorite. The product shot doesn't do justice to its buttery texture. I loved it so much, I even got it in black. My only complaint is that the sleeves are a bit loose-fitting, but for that price, I found a solution. I simply rolled them up a few times for a more laid-back look. I give it two leathery thumbs up.
I've been drooling over Mike & Chris leather jackets for quite a while, but the duo's latest design has me in a daze. This Mike & Chris Bronze Leather Jacket ($885) is très chic.
Metallic? Check. Leather? Check. I really need this awesome jacket but yikes! The price tag will leave me in financial agony. That leaves me with one choice. Find something cheaper, of course.

Molly Ringwald not only had dancing skills, the girl was the teen queen of the '80s. While crushing over Jake Ryan (so hot) in Sixteen Candles, being the not-so-popular girl in Pretty In Pink, or playing prom queen in The Breakfast Club, Molly ruled in her leather bombers, scrunched boots, frilly tops, and blazers. It's time to take your back to cool style, well, back in time!
Found! Kelly Osbourne's Jacket
Earlier in the week Kelly Osbourne attended a party at Shoreditch house with Agyness Deyn. She wore a funky black and white striped dress with a wet-look, tight fit bomber. Well, we can now reveal that the jacket is the Woodstock Rules jacket from the French Connection Autumn/Winter collection.
