Trend Alert: Lofty Loafers

Zoom straight to the bottom half of Nicky Hilton's ensemble and check out her lofty loafers. These comfy yet curiously cool shoes have been redesigned for the hipster girl. I like how loafers give off a smart, Euro vibe; it must be that whole Johnny Depp thing. They go great with jeans, shorts, and even dresses. I actually own a pair and wear them with skinny jeans and a floaty top for a cute boho-meets-boy look.

Best Foot Forward: Peter Jensen For Topshop

It doesn't really get much snazzier than these patent Peter Jensen for Topshop shoes.

It doesn't really get much snazzier than these patent Peter Jensen for Topshop shoes. We might be alone on this but the grey patent loafer is our favorite, it just screams 'snazzy old man' and that kind of makes us want to wear them. All priced at $210 and entirely shippable to the United States we say go for it. Check out our video from the Spring 09 Peter Jensen show as part of London Fashion Week. Inspired by Jodi Foster, it will only encourage a patent loafer purchase.

Yves Saint Laurent

The Look For Less: Yves Saint Laurent Pointed Toe Loafer Pumps

I wasn't sure if the whole loafer trend was right for me, but I recently snagged a great deal on a pair at a thrift store.

I wasn't sure if the whole loafer trend was right for me, but I recently snagged a great deal on a pair at a thrift store. They're a beautiful camel color and surprisingly comfortable. Now, I have my eyes on these Yves Saint Laurent Loafer Pumps ($440). The sharp pointed toe gives them a sexy edge and the hidden platform front will keep my toes comfy all day long. Only problem with these babies is their price tag.

I know lots of you are ahead of the fashion curve — you make me so proud. Daiane is already delving into a Fall footwear trend and is feeling the Oxford love. She's also experimenting with trousers and her monochrome look is unique and cool. Overall, lovely.

She didn't say what's what, so stop by and tell us!

Congrats to daiane!

Everyone else, submit your looks and I might feature you on FabSugar!

Shoes

SuperSize This: Trumpette Patent Loafers

While it's true that most babies really don't need shoes, these adorable Trumpette make it pretty hard to resist buying them anyway.

While it's true that most babies really don't need shoes, these adorable Trumpette make it pretty hard to resist buying them anyway.

They are so stinkin' cute and affordable. A pair of the patent loafers will set you back $28, which seems about par for the course for cute baby shoes.

My lil one sports her skittle green loafers all over town. I thought they might be tough to walk in, but she's done surprisingly well in them. I'm just trying to decide which color to get her next. I'd get the red ones for myself if they made them in my size!

Chloe

The Look For Less: Chloe Loafer Mocassin

What I love about loafers is that though they are super comfortable, they give off this very put-together and classic vibe (see my red pair here).

What I love about loafers is that though they are super comfortable, they give off this very put-together and classic vibe (see my red pair here). These Chloe Loafer Mocassins are on sale for $210 (originally $320), but they are still a tad pricey. And plus, why pay more when you can pay less?
