>> Victoria's Secret model Candice Swanepoel is continuing her high fashion crossover with a solo Fall 2011 Tom Ford ad campaign. She fronts the womenswear portion of Ford's campaign, while Lara Stone is doing Fall 2011 beauty honors. Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott were behind the lens this season — instead of Ford himself — and shot Swanepoel outdoors in London in a spot overlooking the Thames River.
Watch Naomi Campbell, Natalia Vodianova, and More Snarl for Givenchy's Fall 2011 Campaign
>> In tune with the roaring panther prints of Givenchy's Fall 2011 collection, the accompanying ad campaign sees Naomi Campbell, Natalia Vodianova, Kristen McMenamy, and house favorite Mariacarla Boscono each roaring for the lens of Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. Get a look behind-the-scenes at the shoot, for which Riccardo Tisci imagined the four new Givenchy faces as “dark 1950s pinups,” captured individually atop a printed cushion in a corner. Miu Miu Changes Direction with Hailee Steinfeld's Fall 2011 Campaign
>> After nine seasons of color-saturated Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott-shot ad campaigns, Miu Miu is going in a new direction, courtesy of Bruce Weber, who shot the latest Miu Miu muse — 14-year-old Hailee Steinfeld — for the label's Fall 2011 campaign. Steinfeld first began a relationship with Miuccia Prada at the beginning of the year, when she wore Prada to the SAG Awards, according to her stylist, Karla Welch: “Miu Miu is such a perfect fit for her. Throughout awards season, they were the dresses she wanted to wear.” She went on to attend the Miu Miu show in March as a special guest of Miuccia Prada. [TFS]
Versace Ushers In a New Era with a Brunette Face
>> Versace is in a state of change, Donatella Versace confirms. For the first time ever, she recently opened the house archives for a music video — Lady Gaga's new "Edge of Glory" video, to be exact — in which Gaga wears a strappy vintage Versace corset top and shorts, both in gold studded black leather. Style.com noted the change in direction earlier this week at Versace's Resort 2012 preview, of which many were reportedly commenting, "I'm not a Versace girl, but I'd wear that."
The house's Fall 2011 campaign is also perpetuating a new Versace era; instead of Mario Testino, who has done Versace campaign honors since 2004, Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott were the photographers of choice, a Versace first. And rather than featuring a celebrity or a blonde — as is typical for Versace — the campaign focuses on the brunette Saskia de Brauw. “For me, it is expected to have the blonde girl, the sexy girl, and this is what Versace meant recently,” explained Donatella. “But I thought about how in the past, when Gianni used girls like Kristen McMenamy and Stella Tennant, everyone was always saying, ‘Wow, this is not a Versace girl, she is not blonde.’ Sometimes you need to renew yourself to work better and to make a little bit of a push.”
Of the resulting images, Versace added: “It’s a glamorous woman and it’s a little pop, which I love. Mert and Marcus are very talented and full of ideas. This season is just the beginning. I want to push something different and new.”
Edward Enninful Has Big Plans for W's September Issue
>> W's new fashion and style editor Edward Enninful won't make his full debut for the magazine until September, but his stamp can already be seen on the magazine's July 2011 cover featuring Christina Aguilera, he says: "I was involved with Christina. I worked with our contributing editor Giovanna Battaglia on the look and the photography and also Lynn Hirschberg. And I wanted to show Christina in a new light, show off the icon that she is."
As for his future plans for the magazine: "We'll continue to work with photographers like Craig McDean, Patrick Demarchelier, Mario Sorrenti, Inez and Vinoodh, Mert and Marcus, but we also have a few big names in the pipeline and you'll see it in the coming months, particularly in September ... The September issue will be first big issue for myself, along with Alex Gonzalez, the creative director, and sort of Giovanna Battaglia, whom we offered to be fashion editor and hopefully a few other editors. And we're going to feature the industry's biggest names and well-known photographers. I think you'll be pleased. And what I love about this sort of blend of photographers is that each one has their own unique style. So if it's okay I'd like to keep their names under wrap just to surprise our readers. It's really hard to keep anything secret these days. But I try."
Lara Stone Breaks Calvin Klein Exclusive with New Tom Ford Beauty Campaign
>> Lara Stone, who landed a Calvin Klein exclusive a year ago and is still making appearances on behalf of the brand — just two days ago she wore Calvin Klein at a CK one-sponsored event in Berlin — doesn't seem to be an exclusive for the brand any more. She's appearing alongside Tom Ford in the campaign for his new beauty collection — which is Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott-lensed, instead of photographed by Ford or Terry Richardson as the designer's campaigns have been in the past.
Behind-the-Scenes at the Alberta Ferretti, Ralph Lauren Fall 2011 Campaign Shoots; Plus, Lanvin and Roberto Cavalli Cast Details
>> The Fall 2011 campaign parade continues: Arizona Muse was on set for Alberta Ferretti yesterday, as were Valentina Zeliaeva and Magdalena Frackowiak for Ralph Lauren (left).
Raquel Zimmermann recently confirmed: "I'll be in the Lanvin campaign which was shot by photographer Steven Meisel, but I can not describe how it was, total secrecy until the campaign out!" And Roberto Cavalli is reportedly employing Natasha Poly, Mariacarla Boscono, and Karen Elson to be shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott and styled by Panos Yiapanis.
After Gwyneth Paltrow was spotted leaving Coach headquarters recently with Reed Krakoff, meanwhile, rumors have been fanned that the actress might be a new face for either Coach or Krakoff's Coach-funded eponymous label.

See Emmanuelle Alt's Second Vogue Paris Cover, Featuring Kate Moss
>> In a followup to her first Vogue Paris cover featuring Gisele Bundchen, Emmanuelle Alt's second cover for the magazine features another supermodel: Kate Moss, shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott in London. [Vogue.fr, HuffPo]
Will Kate Moss Be in Louis Vuitton's Fall 2011 Ad Campaign? Plus, More Casting Rumors
>> The latest Fall 2011 campaign scuttlebutt: Isabeli Fontana is taking the early lead, with campaigns for Escada and Donna Karan booked, and a rumored appearance for Bottega Veneta as well. Karan's campaign, which was captured by Patrick Demarchelier the past three seasons, was snapped by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin for Fall 2011.
Meanwhile, Steven Meisel shot (and Karl Templer styled) the Fall 2011 Louis Vuitton campaign in New York yesterday — but there will reportedly be no Kate Moss appearance as there was on the runway. In fact, no supermodels will be featured at all: Instead, the six models chosen are said to be from the current generation — "Top 50-ish, a bit new. Nothing from the Icon list." Daphne Groeneveld and Fei Fei Sun are rumored to be among them.
Kate Moss has reportedly been cast for another Fall 2011 campaign for Mango; however, it will be shot by Terry Richardson and is today, making lots of appearances on his blog.
Versace, like Donna Karan, is also switching up photographers — after going with Mario Testino for the past eight seasons, Donatella Versace has chosen Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott to do the Fall 2011 honors (with styling by Joe McKenna). Originally, the Versace campaign, like Vuitton, was reportedly supposed to feature six models, including Candice Swanepoel and Groeneveld, but the photographers are rumored to have settled instead on one girl with "short dark hair" who is a "cover star." Some are thinking that might indicate Saskia de Brauw as Versace's new girl.
To round out the Fall 2011 campaign placements so far, Juergen Teller shot Irina Kulikova yesterday for Moschino at Turin's Ristorante del Cambio, Ralph Lauren has reportedly cast its runway opener Sui He, and Liu Wen is rumored to be in the upcoming Dolce & Gabbana campaign.

Will Emmanuelle Alt's Second Vogue Paris Cover Also Feature a Supermodel?
>> Emmanuelle Alt's first Vogue Paris cover — for April 2011 — came out last week, with Gisele Bundchen photographed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin in a white Dolce & Gabbana dress — a dress that has also been recently featured on the covers of Vogue Spain and Germany. Is Alt planning to go the supermodel route again for May, her second cover? Apparently she recently styled Kate Moss in a haute couture editorial for Vogue Paris's May issue — shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott in London. It seems unlikely that the shoot wouldn't come with a cover deal, and Moss is, after all, among the coterie of Alt's favored models. [Telegraph UK]
