>> After last season's "Nueva York" themed campaign, Donna Karan and Kate Moss are back at it again for Fall. This time, the mood is the dark mystique of the Orient Express — as Karan herself explains the idea: "There's a romantic classicism, a little darkness, an Eastern European kind of decadence. She was on a train . . . on the go, but feels intimate and sexy at the same time." Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott did the honors, shooting Kate at Union Station in downtown LA.
For the second consecutive season, Penelope Cruz will be the face of fast-fashion chain Mango. The ads, which break globally in February, were shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott in London and feature Mango's signature Spring collection. If you're wondering about the fate of Penelope and her sister Monica's collection for MNG Mango, a second round is set to hit select Mango stores mid-February.
Following in a long line of PYTs — think Lindsay Lohan, Selma Blair, and Maggie Gyllenhaal — Kirsten Dunst is set to be the face of Miu Miu's Spring campaign. She posed for the images in LA last week, shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. I think her off-kilter, youthful style is the perfect match for Prada's younger sis.
Meanwhile, it appears Kirsten is not the only celeb to front a major fashion campaign for Spring: Rumors have reached a fever pitch about Victoria Beckham starring in the Marc Jacobs campaign. Could it be? We'll just have to wait and see...
