Look of the Day: Spring Forward

I absolutely adore this look from Fab reader simpleness — it's the perfect example of how to make the most of your chic Spring pieces in less-than-Spring weather.

I absolutely adore this look from Fab reader simpleness — it's the perfect example of how to make the most of your chic Spring pieces in less-than-Spring weather. She started with a heather gray maxi skirt, and added cozy layers via a long-sleeved black tee and olive military-inspired jacket. Then, she piled on the accessories — a brown braided belt, chunky knit scarf, and a pair of flat brown boots. I love how wonderfully each piece works together, and can be switched up come Spring!

Congrats, simpleness!

Look of the Day: Low-Key Luxe

This cute look from Fab reader AdriNicTrax is low-key yet super chic, and best of all, it employed two of my favorite trends of the year — leopard and military-chic.

This cute look from Fab reader AdriNicTrax is low-key yet super chic, and best of all, it employed two of my favorite trends of the year — leopard and military-chic. She paired an olive J.Crew military jacket with an oversize tee, black leggings, and cognac-colored knee boots, then tied on a lightweight leopard scarf. Pitch-perfect styling!

Congrats to AdriNicTrax!

With the onset of every trend, we get a whole slew of goodies to choose from.

With the onset of every trend, we get a whole slew of goodies to choose from. Designers deliver the looks, while lower-priced retailers offer up their own styles. So, when it comes down to trendspotting, it's not always about the high-end merchandise — sometimes a find that saves us some cash is so spot-on that even we can't tell. Can you?
