It's an '80s flashback! For many of us who were there the first time around, a closet full of neon clothes can only mean one thing — the '80s are back! Spring's bright colors have moved off the runway and straight into our lil ones' armoires, with neon accents showing up all over lil apparel. Used to sporting softer colors, the neon trend allows tots to show off their personalities in a big way. From technicolor appliques on the all-important t-shirt to fluorescent laces in their shoes, there are endless ways to work this style into your kids' wardrobes as the weather heats up. We're thrilled to present our favorite Lucky story here on Fab!
With the exception of my neon green Blackberry case, I generally tend to steer clear of super bright hues. Instead, I gravitate toward a softer, muted palette—one that I find more flattering against my blond, pale-ish coloring, and one that isn't so, well, LOUD. However, this season's penchant for brights (along with Jil Sanders' awesomely blinding SS2011 collection), has me currently dreaming in Technicolor. And while I'm not sure that I'll ever be brave enough to sport a shocking orange t-length paper bag skirt, I've found a few ways to incorporate neon in a slightly less intimidating sort of way.

Let me begin this with a fun blast from the past — remember when we met Brittany eons ago at a Guess party in San Francisco? Fab times. The cutie is still on our radar three years later and she looks better than ever. She wore a galactic frock to the Charlie St. Cloud LA premiere, but her neon Jimmy Choo Caesar sandals and purple clutch take the look tantivy into an eclectic execution. Neon is trendy, but so much fun. Right, Brittany?
Try to peel your eyes off Katy's bangin' bod, in this UK/US rubber dress, and get a whiff of her tripindicular shades. Lime green Prada shades, to be exact. They looked pretty dope in Prada's island chic ads, and they look even more fly in person, on stage, on Katy. Eighties-inspired sunglasses have serious staying power — especially when they look this good.
