A dramatic palette of dusky green, charcoal, and bronze dominated; but the odd pop of mustard yellow and a smattering of sequins added spark. Silhouettes were structured, straightforward, and nicely architectural.

Just after the Spring 09 shows commenced, we brought you our top four wearable Spring 09 hairstyles, and today, we're following up with our favorite makeup looks--though they might not be the most daring, these four shows had our favorite street-ready makeup. Cynthia Rowley, who also made our list for hair, had Bobbi Brown create a makeup look with a matte, peach lip and wet grey eyelid. In the Marni show, makeup was kept to a nude lip and dark, thick brow--something we've always had a weakness for. At Nicole Farhi in London, our obsession with blush was indulged and the girls looked as fresh as can be on the runway. Finally, in Paris, the YSL makeup look boasted "Fellini" eyes that would be a perfect compliment for any nighttime affair.

This particular Farhi look has a lot going on: the feather necklace, the cinch belt, the black and white crazy print onesie, and the studded shoes. Worn separately, each of these pieces could be awesome. But together, is it all too much?
