Karen Elson for Nine West Vintage America

>> Karen Elson's particular breed of Victorian-rocker irreverence meets accessories for a limited-edition collaboration with Nine West Vintage America, now available online. Launched last night with an exclusive fete — where Elson serenaded the crowd in a country-tinged acoustic set — the collection features a jazzed-up assortment of granny boots, tapestry frame bags, and peep-toe platform wedges. “My dream of designing a collection that’s a true reflection of me has now come to life through this collaboration,” Elson explained. Infused with a bit of Dust Bowl-era grittiness, leathers are well-worn but glitterized, jewelry features oxidized metal, and bags have a distinctly antique feel. The collection is priced at $32 for jewelry to $269 for shoes. Click through to see all the pieces from the collection — plus the campaign images.

Karen Elson, supermodel, singer, songwriter, wife to White Stripes singer Jack White, and mother of two, can now add designer to her impressive resume. She is collaborating with Nine West on a Fall 2011 collection of accessories for its Vintage America line, according to WWD. While we've only seen sketches of her designs, it's said to be based on her vintage-inspired style, and we immediately thought of two editorials where Elson's style was most prominent: a Nylon shoot last June that was shot by her twin sister Kate and a Vogue shoot, shot by Annie Leibowitz, featuring her and Jack White together. Both show her love of vintage femininity and, while the model is British not American, we can see the connection to vintage Americana. Click our slideshow to see the design sketches, and get a glimpse of the British model's personal style.
