While the amusing acronym isn't lost on us, neither is the dazzle of the LSD — and since these little silver dresses have been cropping up all over the red carpet on our favorite celebs, we couldn't help but turn our attention to the shine. It doesn't have to be full-blown, and as you can see from Odette Yustman, Carolyn Murphy, and Lily Collins's dress choices, respectively, there's certainly a spectrum of silver shimmer to choose from. Try a subtler effect via a metallic sheath or go all-out in allover sequins à la Lily. Just remember to keep jewels minimal and opt for black or nude pumps to avoid the disco ball effect.

It's going to be a big night for Serena van der Woodsen on Gossip Girl. While the rest of her cohorts are busy with love problems, Serena has bigger fish to fry with a surprise visit from her long lost father. For her much anticipated family reunion, the Upper East Sider layered a sleek chocolate trench coat over a maroon dress by Porter Grey, charcoal ribbed tights, and platform pumps.
