Our holiday gift guide series continues with the always-fun stocking stuffers. They're cute, small, and totally affordable. As long as it fits inside a stocking, it's fair game. This year, I envision stockings stuffed with fuzzy earmuffs, snazzy cuff links, cool socks, and these rad Hollywood Intuition Metallic 4-in-1 Cosmetic Bags ($10, originally $13). I used to have a hard time finding cute, eco-friendly holiday gifts for my green friends, but not anymore. This year, the stylin' eco babe will receive a wave of slick and sustainable gifts via bamboo scarves, recycled leather skirts, funky organic frocks, and conflict-free jewels. My planet-friendly BFF would love this Dianne Annelli Butterfly Organic Canvas Tote ($20). But wait, there's more . . .

Joshua Katz, director of marketing and communications at Quiksilver Inc., explains, “This is a 24-hour customer, and a lot of times they might not have a swimsuit but want to take a late-night swim, after the hotel’s boutique is closed.”
For added flavor, each design has a "Quik City Guide" on the inside waistband, with addresses of local places of interest. The vending machines will also dispense zines and $10 works of art from local artists. Four men's retro-inspired men's styles will be available as well as a classic black string bikini for the ladies. Step right up.
Ever since Quiksilver turned fashionista, it's been one of my go-to brands for surf-meets-street clothes. For Fall, Quiksilver has come out with a collection characterized by relaxed plaid dresses, loose-fitting jeans, off-shoulder tops, and cool vests. I'm particularly drawn to this plaid dress (left) because there are a million ways to spice it up. Watch how fashion editor Meg Cuna puts her unique twist on the dress.
Just because a look is casual that doesn't mean it isn't party apropos. Sophia Bush graced the red carpet for the OP campaign launch party in a getup fit for an urban safari. And let's take a moment to admire her fit stems — nice. It's refreshing to see something utilitarian and cool, versus dolled up and decked. Because of her basics — army-green shorts, white tank, brown blazer — the outfit required some glam, which she delivered via sexy crisscross Miu Miu sandals, a cascading gold necklace, and dainty clutch. The right mix of casual and lady will lead you to your very own faboo urban safari. Safe travels!
Crêpe de Chine
Literally means "crepe of China" in French. A soft, lightweight, plainwoven fabric with a crinkled effect. It's produced either with all-silk warp and weft or with a silk warp and hard-spun worsted weft. Crêpe de chine textures of artificial silk are common these days and are often difficult to distinguish from true silk. French designer Madeleine Vionnet used crêpe de chine, a fabric that was unusual in women's fashion of the '20s and '30s.
This Mike & Chris Vinny Tank ($202) is made of 100 percent crêpe de chine silk. Doesn't it look super soft?

Whether you're a part of the surf culture, or just like to admire the boys, there is no look cooler than the beachy, fun-loving surfer girl. She can both ride epic waves and look hot while doing it. Clothes that look fresh and serve a function are key. A few things every surfer girl has oodles of: bikinis, board shorts, sundresses, sunnies, and sunscreen. Adopt this look with a spiritual approach; let your hair go au naturel, ditch heavy makeup, and just be beautiful babe and the sea.
We all know I'm a junkie for beach brands, so dig in to some junk food! Quiksilver's Spring women's collection is now available for the taking. With a mix of cool nautical, funky pastels, and sundresses, the best part is prices don't go beyond $100. See this Biscay striped dress below? 88 bones. Also, if you're in NYC or plan on visiting soon, be sure to visit the new QSW Concept store on Mercer. The store will stock the Quiksilver women’s Spring collection, including a full range of silk dresses and tops, knits, wovens, denim, essentials, organic-cotton tees and handbags co-designed by Lesa Wallace. The entire collection retails between $38-150, and almost one-third of the collection is eco-friendly.

There's only so many hooded sweatshirts one can see without becoming bored. This Quiksilver Aurelie Sweatshirt ($24, originally $78), on the other hand, is the antithesis of dull. It's a hoodie with a girlie twist achieved by the scoop drawstring bodice. You can tighten it for dramatic flair or loosen it for a casual approach. It will keep you cozy like a regular sweatshirt but will simultaneously show off your stylish side. And I don't know about you, but I like to look fashionable even when bumming it.
