Look of the Day: Romp Into Fall

You could ease your way into the oncoming season, or you might just romp into Fall like Fab reader goodbadnfab.

You could ease your way into the oncoming season, or you might just romp into Fall like Fab reader goodbadnfab. It's a fresh way to wear the Summer-typical style: just add a touch of warmth with a cardigan or jacket, and pair with boots, or socks and clogs. Transitional dressing to a T.

Here's what she has on:

Romper: Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent
Blouse: Vintage
Shoes: Jessica Simpson
Socks: Nordstrom

Trend Alert: Drawstring Denim

Denim is a closet staple, and like anything in perpetual rotation, sometimes it could use a little revamp.

Denim is a closet staple, and like anything in perpetual rotation, sometimes it could use a little revamp. Here's one we're loving: drawstring denim. This take on your classic blues is casual and still sophisticated, a remodeled fit with a nod to our comfier clothes. But remember, these aren't sweatpants — they're meant to be dressed up; add a femme top, like Fab reader NikitaAshley, to counter the slouchier silhouette and go for heels to play up the fashion angle.

Online Sale Alert! Sexy Sale Finds at Victoria's Secret

Hiked up hemlines have found a friend in the romper this Summer, and when temperatures rise there's nothing quite as cute as a shorty short jumper to throw on.
Victoria's Secret at ShopStyle

Hiked up hemlines have found a friend in the romper this Summer, and when temperatures rise there's nothing quite as cute as a shorty short jumper to throw on. So, I was doing a little research, scouting out a suitable style, when I spied this Printed Romper ($49, originally $58) — perfectly sweet. Next, I hit up the rest of Victoria's Secret Summer Clearance. Over 2,000 pieces, including tons of swim, with some serious price reductions, some under $9.99 — perfectly Fab.

This Week's Fab Favorite: May Andersen

I have to admit I'm a bit disappointed.

I have to admit I'm a bit disappointed. Not in Danish model May Andersen who looked perfect shopping in NYC this week, but in the Couture week attendees. No one really stood out as a Fab favorite of the week. And so, the crown goes to this utterly cool and comfy model and her all-black fit.

It is a bit trendy — the romper, the fedora, Ray Bans, studded flat sandals — but all of these trends suit the model's whatever attitude. I also like that she's incognito. She looks perfectly at ease walking down the street, Milk shopping bag in tow (I wonder what she bought?), chatting on her cell. The accessories are dope: black and cream fedora, black leather Chanel bag, stacked black and gold bracelets. Her bracelets actually match her shoes — an interesting touch. The next time you're debating what to wear on a perfectly sunny day fit for errands, fit yourself like May.

I realize that rompers, daisy-duke ones at that, are not for everyone.

I realize that rompers, daisy-duke ones at that, are not for everyone. But, if you're blessed with long gams then you should definitely jump into this Vintage Teal Stripe Romper, size S/M. It's even in Fab's color! The belt shown is not included, but surely you have one like it.

The current bidding price is at $10.50 and the auction ends on Thursday, May 1. Good luck and happy bidding!

McQ Zip Up Romper: Love It or Hate It?

Alexander McQueen showed his colorful side with this McQ Zip Up Romper, ($400).

Alexander McQueen showed his colorful side with this McQ Zip Up Romper, ($400). The abstract print is Spring festive, but I'm not really sure about the short, high-waisted cut. It's pretty hard to pull off this look — it looks like a Rainbow Bright meets Power Ranger costume. Is this romper hot, or not?

Who Wore It Better? Calvin Klein Satin Romper

Ah to be an Olsen twin .

Ah to be an Olsen twin . . . the money, the fame, and being able to root around in your sister's cavernous closet. Mary-Kate did just that at the premiere of 21 with this black Calvin Klein satin romper that Ash wore back in 2005. Mary-Kate, of course, put her own twist on it with a bold hot pink belt and her oversized (well, could just look that way on her) Miu Miu tie dye clutch. Ashley might mix it up a bit more if she wore it again, but back then she went with some peep toe d'orsays and some beachy hair. It's a rarity: an Olsen face-off; which Olsen are we loving more in this daring piece?

Trend Alert: Onesies!

The youthful all-encompassing onesie has certainly seen mixed emotions.

The youthful all-encompassing onesie has certainly seen mixed emotions. I for one feel they are very beach-appropriate; the cute onesie is so easy to slip on and off and has a fun flair. On the streets they are more of a fashion risk. But, when worn with the right (minimal) accessories and a cool attitude, per Nicole Richie, they can look totally chic. Lastly, I would keep the look toned down and casual, like the ones here, and make sure your bod is in tip-top shape. As for those still on the fashion fence: you never know until you try!
