I've noticed a lot of rosette accents on pillows and handbags lately. While a rosette throw pillow is certainly a cute way to repurpose an old bridesmaid's dress, I can't say it's a trend I can handle too much of. When it comes to girlish décor, I'll get behind a bit of pink and some pale green in small doses, but too many three-dimensional florals in my midst and I'll go running for the hills. How do you feel about rosette accents? Yea or nay?
Trend Alert: Big Blooms
It's time to scout your holiday dress of the season, and how can you resist the sweet smell of big blooms? Leighton sparkled in this blue, brush-painted rose silk bow front dress with patent belt by Prabal Gurung. If feminine and frilly is your thing, this is your lucky season. Oversize rosettes and flower motifs are not only in style, but quite classic, endlessly pretty. I say go dramatic or go home; I'm sure Leighton would second my emotion.
Fab Redux: A Rose Is a Rose Is a Rose Is a Rose

Time to stop and smell the roses!
If you're in the mood for girly, consider these vintage nude heels ($48), particularly if you're a size 8. They're from the '70s, and have a cute fabric rosette center — perfect for a feminine Spring frolic.
Trend Alert: Rosey Toes
I'm beginning to feel like my plain old shoes are, well, plain. After checking out twinkle toes and 24/7 flats, we know have the option of rosey toes. I'm on the fence; I've always had a love/hate relationship with rosettes and it seems they are blossoming yet again. They were all the rage last Winter and when I take a look at the suspects below, I have to say: I love some of them and hate some of them. Do they have you feeling rosey?
The Look: Rosettes
The Look: Rosettes As cold weather approaches, a fashionista's fancy turns to…flowers? "Resort is a great time to escape the mundanity of winter," explains designer Monique Lhuillier. "Flowers and rosettes are a great way to incorporate that [summer feeling] into a collection." I'm not a fan, are you?!
CommentsSATC Movie Sneak Peek! Carrie's Flower Power Dress: Love It or Hate It?

Behold, SJP's second outfit as Carrie Bradshaw, the movie! It's different from the green getup we saw her in a couple days ago, but equally unique.
This white number is extra dramatic thanks to the oversized flower perched on the shoulder, a throwback to SATC Season 3. I like this look, even though only Carrie could pull it off. Never a fan of rosettes or overbearing flower details, aside, the dress has awesome ruching and a splash of gold metallic...and what I adore most is the contradiction between the femme dress and the masculine shoes. And I spy a Barneys shopping bag!
How do you feel about this one?
Trend Alert: Wake Up and Smell The Roses!

While I know some of you aren't fans of smelling like roses, what about wearing roses? Rosettes and big bloomers were aplenty on the Spring runways, so get ready to wear your heart on your sleeve - literally. Here are a few of my designer and non-designer picks:
