Whether you're trying to combat a bad hair day or just looking to add extra pizzazz to your everyday ensembles, look no further than these 10 celeb-approved hats. We love the way Gwen Stefani took her edgy leather look to new heights via a plaid newsboy cap, how Hilary Duff accessorized her travel style with a two-toned Rag & Bone topper, and how Reese Witherspoon got cozy in a blue striped beanie. From fedoras and fisherman caps to beanies and buckets, cruise through to see which other stars have been wearing hats, then add a few, including exact items, to your Fall mix.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley departed from LAX airport looking cool as ever in this Laveer printed coat ($575), this Kain Label gray tee ($71, originally $101), and faded skinny jeans. Her accessories — black Burberry hat ($570), buckled suede boots, and purple suede bowler Burberry bag ($2,195) — added even more pizazz to her travel style. Hear what FabSugar thought about them, then score Rosie's exact hat and jacket to work into your Fall wardrobe.
With the change of seasons, we have this overwhelming desire to give our wardrobe the overhaul, but Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's latest is a lesson in fine-tuning rather than dismissing what we already have. Her impossibly cool travel style isn't actually that impossible to re-create — it also proves that it's not so hard to give your jeans and t-shirts a winterized twist. The foundation of her style is totally basic, leaving plenty of room to play up her accessories. In fact, it's her accessories that do all the talking. Behold, how one great blazer, an autumnal-hued Burberry satchel, suede boots, and a fedora become the focus. Just how did she make it all work? That's all below; just read on as we break it down:
- Fall and Winter call for rich hues, textural intrigue, and great boots. You don't have to spend a lot on new jeans or sweaters; invest instead in luxe-feeling accents that you can get more mileage out of by pairing with a multitude of the pieces already in your closet.
- Channel a nod to the season with the right hues. Rosie's look speaks perfectly to Fall with a great bag in the season's favorite burgundy hue. She keeps the rest basic with a gray palette, but her bag is a perfect pop of brilliant color that furthers the seasonal appeal.
- Don't be afraid of hats. Rosie's cool-girl fedora practically makes the outfit all on its own, and it's a cinch to pull off. Fedoras are flattering on practically all face shapes, add a little outfit intrigue, protect your hair from the snow, rain, or sleet, and happen to be an awesome solution for a bad hair day. Need we go on?
For most on the East Coast, Frankenstorm has pretty much upstaged Halloween. After all, it doesn't get much scarier than the full-on force of Mother Nature at her very worst. But just in case you're in need of a little escapism — or are lucky enough to have missed the hurricane-superstorm madness altogether — why not soak up some All Hallows' Eve spirit? From Julia Restoin Roitfeld's sexy superhero getup to Anna Dello Russo's spectacular "icon" ensemble, here's a peek at how some of our favorite industry insiders have been celebrating the season — with more goodies to come as the day goes on.
Jason Statham and his girlfriend, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, grabbed dinner at La Boca in New Orleans yesterday. The couple shared a date night after Jason wrapped up a busy day of work. He reported to the set of Homefront in the morning alongside his costars James Franco and Kate Bosworth, who arrived in Louisiana with her fiancé, Michael Polish, on Sunday. Jason and Rosie have been on location for a few weeks, though, and met up with friends Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan for a fun night out earlier this month. The foursome celebrated the private opening of Channing's bar, Saints and Sinners. Jason and Rosie seem to be embracing their temporary home and making new pals — Rosie hung out with a baby alligator and shared pictures of the encounter on Twitter.
Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan held hands on the way into their new bar, Saints and Sinners, in New Orleans last night. They were joined by pals Jason Statham and his girlfriend, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, for the private bash. Channing wore a costume mask at the beginning of the night and was later spotted chatting with friends on the balcony of the building before he and Jenna left in the early morning.
It looks like the celebration was not the public grand opening, despite rumors that one would take place at the club this past weekend. Channing tweeted news last week that "We are still under construction and will not be open this weekend. We promise to let everyone know about our grand opening when we have a date for it. Thanks for all the support!" Channing may be a regular once the location is officially open since he's filming White House Down nearby, and Jason just started working on Homefront in the city at the beginning of the month.
Changing your part is the easiest way to try a new look without the commitment, and lately celebrities have been giving us a reason to experiment. Hilary Duff, Miranda Kerr, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley have all taken the middle path this week. A center part highlights the face, as it draws the eye directly downward, and it looks beautiful styled with straight or slightly wavy hair. If your natural part is not straight down the center, it's still possible to train it otherwise. Work a mousse, like Aussie Instant Freeze Sculpting Mousse ($4), into your hair prior to blow drying, keeping it away from your roots to avoid weighing them down. This will ensure that your freshly styled strands stay in place. A quick slide of the flat iron on top of your hair will also help accentuate this dramatic part.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's much-anticipated lingerie collaboration with Marks & Spencer is getting closer and closer to its release date, but the model says in a new video that it's worth the wait.
"I think that we've struck a really great balance between it being young and modern while still being classic and sexy," she says. "And it's feminine, and I hope people enjoy it in that way."
Get a look at the enjoyable collection in the video below.
Colorful ensembles are always playful, but there is something so chic and understated about a solid-hued look, which is why we adore how these six celebrities rocked their monochromatic looks. Melissa George worked a red-hot ensemble with bow-accent Christian Louboutin pumps in Hollywood, Kate Bosworth went black on black in Hugo Boss in Berlin, while Ashley Greene blushed in a neutral Emilio Pucci mini and textured Casadei pumps in LA. In a world where prints are prominent, it's easy to push aside classic monochromatic ensembles, but next time you're heading out on the town, take a cue from these stylish stars.
Exposing only the slightest sliver of fabric, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley displays a small preview of her lingerie line for Marks & Spencer in the September 2012 issue of Elle UK.
A strap and a portion of an embellished bra cup peek out from under a purple sweater in one of photographer David Vasiljevic's shots from the issue, revealing that at least one piece of the collection is heavily detailed. The strap itself features embroidery, while the cup displays delicate cutout details. The rest of the pieces are scheduled to be available in Marks & Spencer stores on Aug. 30.
"I've wanted to design ever since I can remember and I fell into modeling through wanting to design and then, through my modeling career I modeled a lot of lingerie," says Huntington-Whiteley, who has worked for Victoria's Secret and Agent Provocateur.
"My top goal is for it to be accessible and appealing to everybody," she says. "I didn't design it for just me."
That mission may be especially important because of Huntington-Whiteley's start in the modeling industry, which she also discusses in the issue.
"There was no individuality, no opportunity to be individuals. I think that people forget you're human and you just become an object," she says. "I was constantly reminded that I wasn't right wherever I went and that was difficult because I'd come from a place where it didn't matter."
