The memories I have of safety pinning my clothes all involve either a pesky fit issue or an impending wardrobe malfunction. That being said, I wasn't sure what to make of these pieces from Ann-Sofie Back. They are super cute and look amazingly comfy, but I'm on the fence about having a giant safety pin keeping my pants or blouse together. A real stylist has a kit packed to the brim with unexpected crisis solvers that your even your average editor would find perplexing or unrecognizable. But a few tricks of the trade should make their way into every wardrobe just in case the unthinkable happens. Our stylist kit for the non stylist is admittedly comprehensive but you can easily pick and choose. And yes we included a survival kit because it can be a jungle out there.
A safety pin isn't the first thing I would think to wear around my neck, but I instantly became smitten with the concept when a co-worker wore this Giles & Brother Tiny Safety Pin Necklace ($75) to work recently. Darling, right?
