Valentine's Day is right around the corner, but if you haven't gotten around to mailing a paper love note yet, fret not. There are plenty of fab online cards to choose from. I'm positively swooning over Kate Spade's B Mine ecards, which include a whimsical selection of artist-designed static and animated cards ranging from sweet and pretty to funny and quirky. See some of my fave picks above, and for even more e-valentines, don't miss the pretties below!
How cool is this: a greeting card that not only does the normal job of carrying a message, but also pops up and doubles as an origami ornament! The Winter Card, $9.90, was inspired by the Chinese "Magic Flower" paper toy, and comes in lots of different bright colors and patterns. It's perfect for a unique way to tell your best friend happy birthday, your mom thank you, or just to write a quick note to a coworker!
I came across this simply fab Valentine's Day card recently. While the most romantic holiday of all is still a month away, it's always best to be prepared. This card has everything a card should have: a great visual, a great message and a great joke. Created by Bald Guy Greetings this card is $3. Xoxo
Writing thank you cards is one of those gracious things I think a lot of people wish they were better about. I'm sure you all received some fab, and maybe not-so-fab, gifts over the holidays and whichever category the gift falls in, it is sometimes extra polite to follow-up with a 'thank you.' While we're on the subject, a couple of etiquette tips:
- When in doubt, put it in writing. Here are the times you must send a thank you: if you're a houseguest, the guest of honor at a party, or if you weren't with the gift-giver when you opened the present.
- If you're not a wordsmith, simply mention the gift and add a line about what you plan to do with it. Or describe one thing you liked about the party.
Here are a few thank you notes from my new favorite stationers:
