>> A letter written by Madonna to Steven Meisel — in 1991, pre-Sex, while she was filming A League of Their Own — hit the web today, courtesy of Hard Rock. It starts: "Dear Steven, For some reason I thought you were angry with me — because I finked out as a judge at the "Love Ball"? Because I'm still nice to Herb Ritts? Because my hair is the wrong color? I hope you will forgive me for all of the above." And it finishes, presumably referring to what would eventually become Sex: "Saw the piece in NY Times Magazine. Great!! I would love to do this book thing with you so let's talk soon." Full transcript at the link. [Letters of Note]

>> Coco Rocha opened up her two-bedroom Gramercy Park, Manhattan apartment, which she bought three years ago and shares with her husband James Conran, to Vogue.com. Shown lining her walls are teapots she collects from "from all the different places I have been to for photo shoots — from Morocco to Michigan”; there's a photo (left) of Rocha, who explains it was a wedding present from Steven Meisel — "I’ve never liked hanging my model photos in my home, but this is an exception because it almost looks like a painting”; and on a table, a handbag piggy bank, which Rocha says is one of her favorite things: “I love how at first glance it looks like a YSL bag, but when you take a closer look you realize it actually reads, 'yove saved la rent.' It’s genius!” More photos at the link. [Vogue.com]

Early Spring 2011 Campaign Rumors — Gisele Bundchen for Balenciaga, Plus More!

>> It's early on in the Spring 2011 campaign race, but it seems that former (and current) Victoria's Secret Angels are still going strong when it comes to fronting luxury houses. Not only did Gisele Bundchen walk in Balenciaga's recent show, she's reportedly set to appear in the brand's upcoming Spring 2011 campaign, shot by Steven Meisel. No word on whether some of the other major faces who also walked — Amber Valletta, Carolyn Murphy among them — might also join.

Meanwhile, Izabel Goulart, who was a Spring 2011 Givenchy runway exclusive, is rumored to be appearing alongside Riccardo Tisci's close friend and muse Mariacarla Boscono in the upcoming Givenchy campaign. And Stefano Gabbana and Alessandra Ambrosio have been Tweeting up a storm back and forth, spurring rumors that she may appear in the Spring 2011 Dolce & Gabbana campaign — Gabbana has revealed upcoming Dolce faces via Twitter in the past. This all is fanned by the fact that at the end of a video Gabbana posted yesterday, the interviewer prompts Ambrosio with: "I think you may have a new job with the [Dolce & Gabbana] line," to which Ambrosio laughs and plays coy: "Let's see . . . let's see."

The cover (which features Kerr and her Yorkshire terrier Frankie) and accompanying editorial spread — which was likely shot when Kerr was around two to three months pregnant — is part of Vogue Italia's September 3D theme. The issue comes with a pair of 3D glasses, as another editorial inside is also 3D: The Scent of the Future shot by Tim Walker. Vogue Italia is not the first Vogue to try out the 3D concept  — Isabeli Fontana appeared in 3D in Vogue Mexico's April issue.

It's no secret we've fallen truly, madly, deeply for Mulberry.

It's no secret we've fallen truly, madly, deeply for Mulberry. To add even more fuel to the fire, the brand just came out with its Fall '10 campaign — check out the awesome behind-the-scenes video. The opulent fun features Abbey Lee Kershaw and Hanne Gaby Odiele jumping up and down on a bed and eating decadent desserts all while wearing glamorous head-to-toe Mulberry — color us jealous. Photographer Steven Meisel did a beautiful job capturing the fun and Mulberry's captivating selection of handbags and ready-to-wear. Add to that the new Balenciaga campaign, just out (below), where she appears alongside Karen Elson (also fronting Louis Vuitton this season) and Stella Tennant (who is moonlighting for Salvatore Ferragamo Fall 2010 as well), Meghan Collison, Eliza Cummings, Valerija Kelava, Mirte Maas, and Julija Stepanoviciute, all shot by Steven Meisel.
