If you thought Lara Stone's Spring Louis Vuitton ads were dreamy, wake up. The brand chose a precision cast of models, spanning generations, for its latest campaign. Christy Turlington, Karen Elson, and Natalia Vodianova are calmly coiffing in an old-school dressing room, each one thoroughly gorgeous in prim ponies, ladylike dresses, and luxe leather. The mood is serene and stylish and, notice, ample bosom plays a supporting role. According to Antoine Arnault, Vuitton’s director of communications, "The atmosphere was very Fifties, very elegant." Shot by Steven Meisel, the period set was constructed in a New York studio. Simple, yet stunning. Agreed?

Fall 2010 Campaign Update: Givenchy, Lanvin, Louis Vuitton, Balenciaga, and Roberto Cavalli
>> Fall 2010 campaign season is well under way — and although not all casts have been finalized, as is the case over at Miu Miu, many have, causing an influx of rumors and confirmations. On Wednesday, Karen Elson joined Christy Turlington and Natalia Vodianova on the Fall 2010 Louis Vuitton campaign set in New York, where Steven Meisel photographed and Karl Templer styled. Meisel also shot the Lanvin campaign this week in New York, with Alber Elbaz overseeing another trio: Anja Rubik, Magdelena Frackowiak and Mariacarla Boscono.
Givenchy, too, is rumored to be going with a trio of female models — Ming Xi, Joan Smalls, and Mariacarla Boscono — joined by a few male models in front of Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott's lens. But the trio trend breaks there — word going around is that Meisel captured 12 girls for Balenciaga, including Finnish newcomer Kirsi Pyrhonen, and Roberto Cavalli is going solo with Gisele Bundchen shot by Mert and Marcus.

Naomi Campbell Guest Edits Vogue Russia's Naomi-Only April 2010 Issue
>> The single-model issue concept is picking up steam, and it's only logical that Naomi Campbell, newly a Russian resident, should have an entire issue of Vogue Russia. Editor Aliona Doletskaya says of the April 2010 issue, which is dedicated to Naomi and which the model helped edit [Editor's note: loosely translated from Russian]: "I wanted to debunk a few myths surrounding Naomi. When I suggested the concept, she immediately came and for an hour and a half laid out stories, photography, interviews and other sections. Clearly, quickly, and in a businesslike manner."
In the issue, out March 25, Christian Louboutin, Chanel Iman, Claudia Schiffer, Mario Testino, and more were prompted to ask Naomi what they have previously hesistated to ask her. Steven Meisel, Tom Munro, Matt Irwin, and Solve Sundsbo photographed the model's editorials.

Fab Ad: Alberta Ferretti, Spring '10
Alberta Ferretti's latest ad campaign takes me back to my childhood, when I would frolic in my fairy outfit and colorful braided headband. Only now it's Hanne Gaby Odiele, Kasia Struss, Constance Jablonski, and Dorothea Barth Jörgensen having the fun, and the clothes are way chicer. I love everything about these Steven Meisel shots — the fluid movements, the romantically beautiful dresses, the serene colors. If only I could transport myself to Alberta's fairyland! What do you think?
Another Tongue-In-Cheek Vogue Italia Cover from Steven Meisel Has Karlie Kloss Spoofing A Runway Spill

One month after Meiselpic, 20 pages of model self portraits à la Twitpic, photographer Steven Meisel's latest poke fun at fashion cover is a series of images depicting the dreadful runway tumble. Karlie Kloss plays the unfortunate giraffe who must fight against gravity and all odds to stay balanced and keep chic while teetering on not-made-for-human heels on top of a slick-as-ice runway.
Fab Ad: Prada, Spring '10
I always expect Spring ads to lighten the mood, wipe the palate clean, rev up my fashion engine. Prada's Spring images do just that. Not only was the beachy-chic collection stellar, but the house chose a fresh face to represent: Lithuanian model Rasa Zukauskaite. Snapped by Steven Meisel, the white backdrop allows the ghostly floral prints, covetable handbags, coquette pigtails, acid green shades, and juicy-red lips to do their thing. Another winner in my book.

>> Karlie Kloss Nabs Hermes and Christian Dior Spring 2010 Campaigns —Will Karlie Kloss continue her worldwide Vogue editorial domination in 2010? Only time will tell, but so far, she's off to a good start: she's nabbed two high-profile only-girl campaigns for Spring 2010 — Hermes, shot by Paolo Roversi, and Dior, shot by Steven Meisel.
