Military chic is only gaining steam, so if you're in it for the long haul, might I make a suggestion? Ted Rossi's Military City Bag ($595) is a worthy investment. Luxe details like gold studs, walnut leather trim, and military-toned, all-over olive hues make it perfectly lusty, but the classic shape and functional zip make it a sweet staple for Fall and beyond . . .
Fab Site: HenriBendel.com
It's oft namedropped by the Gossip Girls and happens to be one of my favorite Fifth Avenue flagships, and this is one serious step forward for womankind. Henri Bendel has staked out its proverbial territory in the world wide web by launching its first web site, HenriBendel.com! The site is full of party pictures, fashion tips, event listings, and even a little e-shopping. Accessories, beauty products and gift items are all available now, and some branded products will be introduced next month, including accessories from Ted Rossi and Kooba.

Trend Alert: Silver Shock
All this time I have been drawn towards the opulence of gold and I forgot about the power of silver shock. While I am a golden girl when it comes to jewelry, I love metallics just as much as the next fashionista — if not more. A shock of silver is more sci-fi and glam rock than gold though. So, to tame your look and avoid looking too costumey, pair your silver shock with modern pieces — a cool blazer and organic denim. If you are going for the Barbarella look though — Halloween costume alert! — glittery eye shadow is a must.
Celebrity Style: Ashlee Simpson
Though I'm a tad tired of the one-shoulder look that many celebs have been sporting, I'm definitely not bored with the color pink! Ashlee Simpson, here at the Stride Gum celebration of Summer Solstice, looks surprisingly girly and put-together. I wish she had pulled her hair back, but I'm not going to be picky as this is a major improvement from some of her recent shabby outfits. Keep it up, Ash!
