Keegan Singh Works Menswear-Clad Vanessa Traina for Dossier

>> The third issue of Dossier with Lou Doillon on the cover doesn't launch until April 12 — launch party tomorrow night — but in the meantime, co-founder Skye Parrott passed along a peek at the innards: an editorial featuring Vanessa Traina in "the best menswear of the season," photographed by Paul Maffi and styled by Keegan Singh, who was just named one of Paper's Beautiful People for 2009 along with Kate Lanphear (who also styled for this issue of Dossier) — apparently they would only consent to do Paper as a duo, featured in the same picture.

The Dossier spread features Eddie Borgo jewelry, which seems to be a trend in Singh-styled editorials — and no wonder, since they live together — Borgo is his boyfriend.  Other contents to look forward to within the upcoming Dossier: jewelry designer Pamela Love takes a turn as editorial stylist, and Valentine Fillol-Cordier interviews Charles Anastase.

>> Along with their first full-blown shoe collection for Spring 2009, the boys at Proenza Schouler have their hands full with a new handbag line.  They waited until they felt like they had something to say, according to Jack Hernandez, and they wanted "a bag that feels familiar but is completely different" and "would transcend seasons."  Along with a good view of the upcoming offerings, Jack talks about their "secret bag" — "they're called the PS-1.  No one has them yet, we just gave them to friends."  An it bag in the making?  It's possible, since Vanessa Traina already has one .

As Mickey Boardman at Paper put it, "The name all those in-the-know were dropping was Joseph Altuzarra. French Vogue . . . told Paper that Altuzarra, who worked previously at Proenza Schouler and Givenchy, is the one [to] watch from New York Fashion Week." Stores are vying for exclusives on his first collection — and he's got a lookbook model in Vanessa Traina, who chipped in her two cents: "The right magazines came to see his stuff, the right stores want to buy it—which means, personally, it’s been a pretty good week for the guy."  And Julia Restoin-Roitfeld already wore one of his dresses to the Calvin Klein 40th Anniversary party last week.

But the part that really sticks with me is Vanessa Traina being in the lookbook — seems like Joseph is just where Alexander Wang was a couple of years ago, when he was just starting out and had Vanessa modeling in his lookbook.

Nicole Richie and her friend Vanessa Traina, Danielle Steel's daughter, wore matching jean shorts and black ankle boots for a girls' day out in Hollywood on Saturday. Nicole never stays away from her baby for too long though, taking Harlow for a stroll in Glendale on Sunday morning. The cute celebrity baby must have heard how much we loved her adorable toes, because she poked her teeny foot out of the blanket so we could sneak a peek.
