Selena, Vanessa, and Ashley Bring the High-Drama Glam to Venice

There are no signs of the Venice Film Festival's A-list glamour waning any time soon, and here's why.

There are no signs of the Venice Film Festival's A-list glamour waning any time soon, and here's why. Last night's Spring Breakers premiere had us swooning three times over. Between Selena Gomez's ruffled nude Atelier Versace gown, Vanessa Hudgens's gold embellished Temperley London gown, and Ashley Benson's ultratextured sapphire-blue column dress, we've got enough evening glitz to inspire our next formal occasion. The starlet trio impressed earlier with a mix of cool cocktail sheaths — think black and gold Dolce & Gabbana and leaf-printed Blumarine — at the film's photocall. Elsewhere amongst the Venice Film Festival reveling, Freida Pinto took on an Alexander McQueen cutout gown that not only wowed in shine factor but also hugged her svelte frame to perfection, Blake Lively stunned in a sexy Gucci Premiere number, and ceremonies host Kasia Smutniak stepped out in yet another romantic Valentino creation. Don't miss even a moment of the style action — see the best looks from all angles now.

Selena Gomez and James Franco Debut Spring Breakers at Venice

Selena Gomez led the pack of Spring Breakers stars at a photocall this morning at the Venice Film Festival.

Selena Gomez led the pack of Spring Breakers stars at a photocall this morning at the Venice Film Festival. She posed for photos alongside her leading ladies Ashley Benson, Vanessa Hudgens, and Rachel Korine. Rounding out the gang was James Franco. Their Harmony Korine-directed movie also screened for critics — check out an early Spring Breakers review. The plot of the picture centers around the four girls on a vacation during college, but due to a lack of funds, they get involved in crime and mixed up with a gangster played by James. Harmony Korine is known for making art pieces, and James, who seems like he's usually down to experiment, jumped at the chance to participate. The Hollywood Reporter wrote of the actor's work in Spring Breakers, "Even by the elastic measure of James Franco's unpredictable career, the actor gives one of his more bizarre performances."
