Celeb Style: Kate Bosworth

Kate displayed her classic feminine cool while walking in the California sunshine.

Kate displayed her classic feminine cool while walking in the California sunshine. Her cozy crewneck sweater balances out the floaty denim chambray skirt ($60), and while she chose black shades to protect her peeps, she goes for an altogether lighter feel in her soft booties ($350) and nude bag. Acetate Frames: Shades Report

Clear shades are popular with the fashion folk this summer.

Clear shades are popular with the fashion folk this summer. Hardly a day goes by that we don't see a pair of acetates staring back out at us. For Fall acetate frames will still be around, but in the form of eyeglasses (we're down with going it seventh grade style and wearing them even if you don't require them), our pick in that regard is the Selima pair for J. Crew. Alas, we are still in shades weather and in that regard the Nicole 002 by Benjamin Eyewear takes the cake (left). Forget looking like the Terminator with thick all-black shades, the acetate trend is letting the real thing show-off (i.e. your face!). If you're stuck in between two worlds, Wayfarer put out a two-tone number that we've seen a few chicsters sporting. We think the two-tone kind of makes you look like your eighty years old but in a good way. Also on our radar is this pair, by Grey Ant. The case these shades come in is as big as a briefcase but the shades are pretty amazing and aptly named, The Status Sunglasses. If you can't be asked to drop some dough, Urban Outfitters has a pair of acetate shades for less than it costs to fill up your tank (minus a million).

On Our Radar: Ray-Ban Wayfarers Get Two-Toned

This news couldn't have come at a more opportune time: Just when I was growing tired of Ray-Ban Wayfarers, the company is set to release its classic style in two-tone frames.

This news couldn't have come at a more opportune time: Just when I was growing tired of Ray-Ban Wayfarers, the company is set to release its classic style in two-tone frames. What's more, a new slew of colors — candy apple red, ice blue, and lilac — are being created. Stores like Nordstrom, Barneys New York, Bloomingdale's, and Sunglass Hut will start selling them in April for $140 a pair.

Paris Hilton already has hers. I can see Sienna Miller, Kirsten Dunst, Drew Barrymore, and Mary-Kate Olsen also going ga-ga for these . . . get ready for yet another Wayfarer craze!

Get your shades while they're hot.

Get your shades while they're hot. Summer is quickly approaching (or so we hope) which means you deserve a fresh pair of shades. After all, you will invariably live in them come June. If we must say, Karen Walker's Spring 2008 eyewear collection is one of our favorites. The shapes are diverse this season with dense frames in strong matte colors. These shades are selling out everywhere which means those who spent hundreds on polarized Wayfarers have finally decided to get with times and kick it up a notch. If you're a New Yorker, you're in luck because Den (the Odin concept store) is nearly fully stocked with the collection. Better get a move on though as the Karen Walker collections will soon be replaced by menswear designer Robert Geller's duds. Baby, it's going to be a good summer.

Simply Fab: Folding Ray Ban Wayfarers

We've all seen the Ray Ban Wayfarers on the likes of Kirsten Dunst, Mischa Barton and Drew Barrymore a trillion times.

We've all seen the Ray Ban Wayfarers on the likes of Kirsten Dunst, Mischa Barton and Drew Barrymore a trillion times. But what's new in the Wayfarer world is they have just come out with foldable version, $109. How cool is that? So you can neatly fold and tuck them into your purse until you're ready to show them off again. It comes in black, tortoise (pictured), amber and dark brown.

To get your eyes in them, look for a Ray Ban store nearest you.
