Has being a bride made you feel more busy than blushing? Never fear — this wedding beauty planner will keep you organized from your first tooth whitening appointment to the last sweep of gloss before you walk down the aisle. I've written about bridal timelines before, but this printable planner should help to make things easier. Just download it and go.
If you're still debating between choosing a simple or glamorous dress for your special day, I say adorn me — it's a happy medium between the two.
Embellishments have been updated this wedding season with bold focal points and romantic detailing. The old school, glitzy jewel-encrusted bodice has been replaced with a gamut of fresh options ranging from Monique Lhuillier's eye-catching centerpiece (shown left) to delicate pearls. What's your adornment of choice?
Reem Acra's latest bridal collection offered a colorful and whimsical alternative to the traditional white wedding. Arcra divulged, "It's about the future. What's going to happen to my dresses? The young girls are going to go into their mother's closet and play with them. It's about having fun!"
And that she did with her models placed in storybook settings with musings of playing dress-up and having tea parties. Vibrant gingham and floral patterns were layered on top of the white dresses evoking a colorful and fun point of view. Acra's bold and refreshing take on the classic wedding dress was simply rejuvenating and quite fabulous.

Earlier this week you all went on a Fab Finding mission for a perfect outfit to wear to an outdoor wedding. Whether this wedding takes places atop a mountain, on a beach or at a park, I started you off with this J. Crew Refined silk-cashmere ivory wrap, $75, in case it gets chilly! WhiplashGirlchild even offered up some great pointers:
- No stilettos if you have to walk on grass or sand
- Layer, layer, layer!
- Don't forget the sunglasses. And, if you're going to be on the beach, bring a hat!
I trust you all came up with some genius getups so let's take a look! To see all the outdoor wedding fab finds click here.
Look #1, found by WhiplashGirlchild makes me wish I had an upcoming outdoor wedding to attend because I already have these Calvin Klein "Cadee" Sandals and I adore this Adrianna Papell Bead Waist Silk Maxi Dress.

Sure, this day is all about you you you, but just think about how long your mom has been waiting to see you in your big, poufy, white (or sleek, silky ivory) dress. The truth is, your wedding is just as much mom's day as it is yours, so you have to make sure that mama looks equally smashing! She may already be a MILF, so she won't have any problems looking H-O-T; or she may be more demure, so she may need a bit of a nudge to wear a smashing gown. Here are some dress ideas to share with her for her - I mean - your big day!
For a black-tie affair:
Satin Strapless Ball Gown, $180.

Whether you plan on being a princess bride, you're a gal who loves to look au natural on her big day, or you're going to ditch tradition and do things your way, choosing the perfect jewelry should be at the top of your priority list. While we have heard about the Disney bridal gowns (thanks wynter!) there is also Disney wedding jewelry in the mix. Hmmm, we agree with you Fashionista - this is a bit too baby bride for us!
Figuring out seating arrangements and sending out invitations is important, but without some proper ice around your neck, wrist and on your ears, you'll look like a cake without icing. And cake without some frosting is just not as good! Just be warned: some people are sensitive to their bridal bling being admired. Pshht - whatever, you know you like the attention...
Princess brides love to feel glam so this Siman Tu Austrian Crystal Necklace with Fresh Water Pearls is ideal; for pricing and retail info go here. Plus, if you turn it upside down, it has the shape of a tiara and we all know princesses love their tiaras!

The natural bride is down to earth and far more relaxed than the princess bride. Think Cindy Crawford, Jemma Kidd and Tori Spelling (the second time around). A natural bride might prefer a country, mountain or beach wedding. Her goal is to keep it simple and wear only enough makeup to give her a glow and let her inner beauty shine through.
She's most likely more interested in her adventurous honeymoon than learning how to apply false eyelashes. If being a natural bride seems more your pace, then you'll want to focus on having clean, clear and scrubbed skin so that you have more of a radiant glow!

To kick off Wedding Planning Mania Week we're going to get this love party started with an appropriate Fab Finding. Is it me or have outdoor weddings become more popular? When I actually think of all the weddings I've attended, about half of them were in an outdoor setting. One of my favorite ones was perched atop a mountainside in Crested Butte Colorado; it was quaint and sweetly romantic.
Let's all go Fab Finding for an outdoor wedding ensemble. Whether this wedding takes places atop a mountain, on a beach or at a park, I'm going to start you off with this J. Crew Refined silk-cashmere ivory wrap, $75, in case it gets chilly! Come back and tell me when your Fab Finds are up and tag them with outdoor wedding.
