Most of us will steal away this Summer — be it to a lakeside cabin, a quiet beach, or a bustling city — for at least a few days, and the key to effortless travel during the warmer months is packing light. With sunny getaways in our near future (you know, the ones that require little more than a bathing suit and a few coverups) and a "no checked-bag" policy guiding our decision-making process, here are our top picks for chic weekender bags, duffels, and oversized totes. You'll be ready to jet, with no annoying waits in baggage claim.
Lauren Conrad's Travel Style: Cozy Sweater, Black Skinny Jeans, and More
Jet-setter Lauren Conrad defined airport style with a Chanel weekender bag, Emmanuelle Khanh sunglasses, and neutral basics at LAX. She accessorized her cute and casual look — black skinny jeans, V-neck sweater, and simple black flats — with delicate gold accessories, a simple top knot, and signature red nail polish. Lauren's travel look proves comfort and style can go hand in hand, opting for classic timeless pieces over sweats. Pair a V-neck sweater with black denim and matching flats, then finish off with a pair of bold resin frames and an oversized tote to channel the designer's sky-soaring style.

International Style: A Clarins Heiress Shows Off Impeccable Taste in Paris
Clarins French skin care company heiress Claire Courtin-Clarins may not look familiar to you just yet, but her style is definitely worth getting to know. Here at a Tod's party at Paris Fashion Week, the stunning blonde managed to look cozy and cute at the same time. Underneath her fabulous shearling coat she mixed prints via a watercolor top and a floral miniskirt. She kept the rest of her outfit simple, opting for black oxfords, a weekender bag, silver hoop earrings, and a green bangle. If your old shearling coat has been hiding in the back of your closet, let Claire inspire you to dust it off and throw it on over all your stylish looks.

Packing Light: 21 Days of Resolutions
We're thrilled to present our favorite Lucky story here on Fab!
Today is my last day of making new resolutions, but (fingers crossed!) not of keeping them! Have you been keeping your promises of self-improvement in 2011? Let me know and I'll be sure to keep you posted on my own progress! Thanks for reading and good luck!
Day 21
Packing for any type of trip — regardless of length — has always been an agonizing process for me. Terrified that I might be without the perfect eyeshadow or shoes for a given occasion, I always overpack to the extreme — only to end up wearing the same pair of jeans my entire stay. This year I am putting an end to unnecessary schlepping of luggage by whittling my packing routine down to the essentials. Here is the (much lighter!) load you will spot me toting next time I travel:

1. Tool Jacquard Weekender, $198, pendleton-usa.com. Not only do I love the rich mix of weathered leather and heavy fabric on this retro-looking bag, but it is the perfect size for a carry-on.

2. Current/Elliott The Cropped Skinny, $213, revolveclothing.com. A slightly cropped skinny jean is the ideal silhouette for travel. The material allows you to wear it a few times without washing and the length works with any type of shoe.
