Flares are back! It didn't take long for us to see flared pants back on the runway. Not just limited to jeans; flares have taken on new prints, textures, and colors. Balmain (left) went boho-rocker in a blue and white tie-dyed number paired with a glam sequined top. This retro-inspired look is easy to wear and flattering on almost every body. I for one, am glad to see flares back in action — are you?

Out on the town for another night on the LA club scene, Kristin Cavallari was channeling a laid-back '70s vibe in her loose, printed tank and Ditto wide-leg jeans. This is a fun spin on the usual sexy top and skinny jeans combo; I adore how she tucked in her shirt to show off that stylish higher rise waistline. She topped her look off with a gorgeous pair of back-to-nature leaf earrings. At this rate, she'll be competition for Lauren in more ways than one.

Jennifer Lopez emerged from a New York hair salon looking as glamorous as ever in her daytime gear. She went for a calm Spring friendly palette of fresh whites and greys, topped off with oversized Balenciaga sunglasses and a ladylike structured bag. I'm liking the wide legged look, and surely this style is more appealing than skinny jeans post—pregnancy. Her designer gear is a tad out of reach for us plebes so I've put together a look that is just as fabulous but far easier on the ol' wallet.

Can you imagine a sale where more than 600 items are up for grabs? Topshop is making imagination reality by doing just that for their Mid-Season Sale that is going on right now — prices are knocked down on everything from dresses to outerwear to shoes and lingerie.

When an opportunity like this comes knocking, I am sure to answer! Especially when pieces like this Topshop Metallic Sequin Silk Vest, $62 (originally $92), are calling my name: it is too cute to pass up.

I'm so glad Rachel is back flaunting her adorable little self around town. While a dash of color would have spiced up this outfit, this girl knows how to wear jeans, especially these Seven for all Mankind Ginger Pant: Faded Denim Wash, $188. From the brown vintage looking belt, to the sleek black tank - and super-high platforms - this is how one should wear the newest style of jean.

It really is amazing how fashion recycles itself; Dittos are back! The brand known for curve-hugging cuts, a slightly flared leg, and U-turn stitching down the backside was huge in the 70s: the It jeans of the time, if you will.

Frankie B.'s designer Daniella Clarke has reintroduced the colorful high-rise bell-bottoms in all their bright-colored glory. They also come in blue denim washes and classic white, and are available for $159-$175 from Revolve Clothing, Intermix, and Shopbop.

Wahoo! As I predicted, the skinny jean backlash has begun and wide legged jeans are on the rise. Don't get me wrong - I have warmed up to the skinny silhouette, but I am a 70's girl at heart and love the elongating look of a wide legged pant. Also, I am tall so it makes my legs look super long. But for non-tall gals, it created a long, lean look so really, this is good news for all. With New York Fashion week officially under way, I wonder how many wide legs we're going to see on the runways for Fall 2007. Here is Mandy Moore from this week's Life & Style wearing some fab flares at the Sundance Film Festival.
