Zac Posen for Target is fast approaching — prepare for attack April 25 — and celebs (and models) are already teasing us with the funky femme collection. Last night was the launch party in NYC, and per usual, the ladies gathered around the man of the hour. From printed frocks to an '80s-esque party dress to sleek basics, it's looking pretty promising. Who gets your most Fab vote?
>> Zac Posen, known primarily for his red carpet gowns, has gone populist between his lower-priced line Z Spoke and his collection for Target (the latter which hits stores nationwide April 25 and is shoppable in Manhattan at 481 Eighth Avenue as part of a 24-hour pop-up preview starting tonight at 11 pm).
Posen had turned down a previous offer from Target for a collaboration, but has since changed his sensibility to the more commercial. "There's nothing unbeautiful about mass quantities. This is where you can really change fashion," he told The Wall Street Journal. "No matter what the trendoids say, power to the people!"
Manhattanites have the chance to shop the Zac Posen for Target collection before everyone else during an open-to-the public shopping event next week.
Beginning at 11 p.m. on April 15 to 11 p.m. on April 16, Zac Posen's Go International collection for Target will be available exclusively in a pop-up shop located at 481 Eighth Avenue in Manhattan. The 24-hour shopping party will have the entire collection — all priced under $199 — on offer with special performances by The Like and DJs Kid America, The Other Will, and Luisiul. The lineup will be in Target stores nationwide and online April 25.

With his Target Go International collection, Zac Posen aims to please young girls of all sartorial leanings by designing flirty party dresses and sleek tuxedos for under $100. The thoughtful lineup — one standout cocktail dress features detachable ruffles and can be worn multiple ways — is 100 percent Posen at affordable price points.
In his quest to keep the collection relevant, the New York-based designer charted new territory with the mass retailer by giving an alternative evening wear choice to its young shoppers — a menswear-style tuxedo.
“Lesbian proms have been such a big thing in the news lately,” Posen said of the decision to feature the YSL-esque tux. “Rather than create a fake subculture, I wanted to address things that are actually happening. It’s a kick-ass girl who can wear a tuxedo to prom! Don’t be afraid of drama.”

The next high-end designer to hit Target is New York darling Zac Posen. While Rodarte for Target hits stores and online Dec. 20, we already have the next collab to look forward to. Posen's Go International collection will be at most stores and Target.com April 25 through May 30.
The price point hasn't been disclosed, but it's sure to mirror Target's past ultra-affordable Go collections. Looks like Zac is bent on bringing his designs to the masses — remember, we just announced his lower-priced diffusion line Z Spoke for Saks.
I'm certain Zac's whimsical aesthetic will translate to Target's youthful racks quite seamlessly.
