Nonoo Gives Us a Lesson in Geometry For Fall 2014

After the success of her first runway show last season, Misha Nonoo doesn't need to worry about being the new girl in town anymore. Instead of resting on her laurels, she took the opportunity to try a few things we haven't seen from her before. The designer's typically soft, feminine aesthetic got a more structured spin right out of the gate with several geometric pieces. First, there was the bouclé dress coat with an interwoven hem, which was quickly followed up by one of our favorite looks — a raglan knit sweater and skirt that both played on that same technique. Frankly, it's exciting to see Nonoo referencing aspects of architectural design but still keeping to her more timeless styles. Like the oversize cotton sweatshirt with printed front panels, it's a new spin but still pretty darn comfortable.
