Kate Middleton in Catherine Walker

To start off her tour in New Zealand, Kate picked a red coat dress by Catherine Walker that showed off two columns of buttons and a smart collar. We loved her accessories: a matching hat reminiscent of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis's best pillboxes and a diamond-and-platinum brooch in the shape of a fern. The piece, meant to represent New Zealand's national symbol, was gifted to Queen Elizabeth II on a tour of the country in 1953, and she kindly loaned it to Kate for the occasion.
