Every week, we bring you the best shoppable fashion and lifestyle stories from the editors at Lifestyle Mirror. Today we are sharing Taylor Davies's picks on this Summer's popular bohemian kimono jacket trend.

There's a reason why kimono jackets have always been the warm-weather layer of choice among the bohemian set. Swingy, loose, and often adorned with embroidery and tassels, they perfectly capture that free-spirited vibe and effortless look we channel this time of year. So, pack away your stiff blazers and chunky Summer sweaters to embrace the breezy, barely there brilliance of a kimono.

Anna Sui has been a master of luxe boho style, and her silk jackets set the bar for this vacation-worthy trend. Talitha's calf-skimming and wildly fringed jacket just might be the most dramatic bikini cover-up ever — perfect for a languorous day of mimosas by the pool or a quick getaway to Bora Bora. But make no mistake, kimonos are not for the beach and poolside alone. We'll be wearing ours (especially Gucci's Spring 2014 take) over party dresses and denim shorts all summer long. Come Fall, we'll throw them over our skinny leather pants and silk shirts.

In fact, we're so head over heels for this trend that we can't settle on just one. This Summer we're craving two kimonos: a playful layer to bring to brunch and a sultry version to throw on over a slip dress or romper for cocktail hour and beyond. Luckily, we've found a bounty of glamorous kimonos that might inspire you to pick up a couple, toss them in a weekend bag, and abandon your current life for a summer of nothing but horseback rides on the beaches of Greece and hammock naps somewhere outside Acapulco. Don't say we didn't warn you.
