Ellen Pompeo Is Fab's #1 (Today)

Everyone's opinions are always welcome on Fab. I think we can all agree that last night's SAG awards brought out a bevy of beautiful dresses. Whether they were intended for the Golden Globes or not, I say it's always better to overdress than underdress - especially when a red carpet is involved. It looks like Frenchie Marion Cotillard won your votes for best dressed last night. My favorite didn't make your best-dressed list, but I couldn't keep my eyes off of Ellen Pompeo in her liquid velvet Nina Ricci. Do you recall last night during the pre show when she claimed she saw it in the January issue of Vogue and knew it was the one? Fine choice, Ellen. Especially since she won for worst dressed at last years SAG awards. You've come a long way babe.

Also, you may have noticed that your favorite and my favorite are both Nina Ricci by Olivier Theyskens gowns. Get ready because Nina Ricci is about to blow up - in the best way.

SAG Awards Red Carpet: Love It or Hate It Round Up

Ah, finally a big red carpet event for us to get all excited about! We were certainly going through withdrawals and we were hoping for an exciting SAG Awards. Luckily, the stars did not disappoint. There were a few missteps but for the most part everyone was at their red carpet best. SAG Awards Trend Alert: Ice Queens

Despite the vibrant background of the 2008 SAG Awards red carpet, there were quite a number of Ice Queens present. Brittany Snow, Eva Longoria Parker, Ashley Tisdale, Teri Hatcher, and Christina Applegate all donned white washed gowns with twinkling embellishments, and perhaps started a new red carpet trend! But these ladies weren't at all stone cold; they rocked ear-to-ear smiles and dazzled in their frosty looks. Glacier-icious!

SAG Awards Trend Alert: The Blues

Thank goodness there's no more reason to be depressed about the lack of red carpets. Nonetheless, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Andrea Bowen, Amanda Bynes, Jenna Fischer, and Marcia Cross all still brought the blues . . . and teals, and turquoises to the SAG red carpet. I can't say I'm complaining - turquoise is my favorite color, after all.

SAG Awards Trend Alert: Grey Day

Grey is not a color usually associated with the red carpet but this year's SAG Awards brought out the grey days. The leaders of the pack? Fab ladies Giuliana DePandi, America Ferrera, Marion Cotillard, Ellen Pompeo, and Olivia Wilde. From Grecian to asymmetrical, strapless to velvet, these dresses did not fade in the background like the gloomy hue usually does. In fact, some of the most eye-catching dresses came in shades of grey this year!

Here is my second favorite part of any red carpet show down: Letting you all decide who was the best dressed of the night. These final six were narrowed down by your votes and I tell ya, this is a toughie. We concluded that because the Golden Globes were a no-go, ladies decided to strut their stuff in high style for the SAGs. Boy did they ever. But do you see a theme here? Kate was nowhere to be seen on the red carpet, but she popped up as a presenter during the SAG awards looking Fab, per usual. Her unique beaded flowy strapless Balmain dress exuded her laid back bohemian style . . . and the look definitely works for her. Do you wish she had tried something new? Or do you just love?
