Bonnie Takhar, Halston's CEO, <a href="http://www.wwd.com/issue/article/117424?page=0" target="_blank">told WWD</a> they were looking for someone who could "pay homage to the heritage of Halston and also bring it into the modern day, with the strength being in... eveningwear and dresses." As creative director, Zanini will oversee the entire product design for the house. </p> <p>The original Halston passed away in 1990, and the label was relaunched in 1997, and has recently come under new ownership. Zanini's first collection could be unveiled as early as next February.
