The winners have been announced, the Fab faves have been judged. But what the CFDA awards really comes down to is the designers. Last night an eclectic mix of designers gathered — many with models and starlets standing by — at Lincoln Center in NYC.
And the 2009 CFDA Winners Are . . .
As expected, the 2009 CFDA awards ceremony brought out a bevy of dazzling models, designers, and celebrities — make sure to vote on our love it or hate it polls! While most came to party, others eagerly awaited the announcement of this year's winners. Let's see who took home the cake .
CFDA Awards: Diane Kruger
Fab favorite Diane Kruger showed up at the CFDA's in a formfitting red Jason Wu dress. Diane is presenting tonight so she knew she had to wow. The red mini is made special by black embroidered shoulder details and a sleek black belt.
CFDA Awards: Molly Sims
Molly Sims got the high fashion memo. She braved Dolce and Gabbana's Marilyn Monroe dress for the CFDA awards. She has the svelte figure to pull it off, but maybe she should have played up her hair and makeup to match the drama of the dress.
CFDA Awards: Kerry Washington
Kerry Washington took the Luxotica route and donned a gray printed maxi and a shimmery vintage evening bag by Swarovski to the festivities. To further her elegance, the actress chose adorned herself with a diamond bracelet and matching studs. Love or hate?
CFDA Awards: Blake Lively
Blake looks like a serious babe in hot pink Michael Kors at the CFDA's. The strapless hot pink sheath comes with pockets, which Blake clearly appreciates. Nude satin pumps polish off this Summery dress perfectly.
CFDA Awards: Claire Danes
Claire Danes decided to teeter between playing it safe and sexy tonight. The color of her Narciso Rodriguez gown is safe, the silhouette anything but. The sexiness comes in thanks to the low front and the huge circle cutout in the back.
CFDA Awards: Heidi Klum
Next up we have hot mama Heidi Klum in a metallic one-shoulder frock that brings shine to her bump. Notice the fluttery cape detail in the back. Gunmetal Christian Louboutin ankle-strap pumps and large silver jewels complete the decadent outfit.

Ashley Olsen opted to wear an orange gown (maybe Zandra Rhodes?) to the CFDA's. The color is different and it works against her skin tone. Notice how the gold beading detail counteracts with the casual sleeve.
