New York Fashion Week is one week away and counting. Before the madness begins, we want to share which designers we're most excited to see. Proenza Schouler is always at the top of our list, but this season we're also anxious to see the next round of Jason Wu frocks.

G-Star wants to get bigger and better in the US, and what better way to do that than with Liv Tyler. The Dutch brand has enlisted the all-American beauty to be the face of its denim-centric campaign for Spring and Fall. "We believe that she has a level of sensuality and this is very important for how we want to position G-Star within the women’s context," said global brand director, Shubhankar Ray.

We're always on the hunt for cool denim happenings, so imagine our excitement when we heard that the queen of punk fashion, Vivienne Westwood, has joined forces with Lee jeans. The new denim line, called the Vivienne Westwood Anglomania and Lee collection, will run the gamut: skinny jeans, microshorts, and bondage cuts dipped in metallic gold and copper-infused hues. Starting next Fall, you can purchase a punky pair for $128 to $320 at Vivienne Westwood boutiques and selected retailers.

There's more reason to love Wu now that the designer has taken on a new project: designing a capsule collection for Tse. “When she [Tse's CEO, Christina Peng-Gerschultz] asked me if I wanted to do a capsule [line], I thought, ‘This could be interesting,’” said Wu. “In many ways, I am probably the least expected designer to do this, because Tse’s aesthetic is so different from my own, but that’s one reason I wanted to do it.”
The collection will be comprised of woven and knitwear pieces dipped in colorful hues.

I don't foresee myself walking down the aisle anytime soon, but that won't stop me from peeping at the latest bridal fashions from Jenny Packham, Vera Wang, Reem Acra, Monique Lhuillier, and Temperley London. For Fall '10, the designers supplied us with an abundance of fabulous, frothy layers of tulles, taffeta, lace, and ruffles. However, what really caught my eye were a surprising selection of fancy short frocks and even black dresses – who dares?

Louise Roe predicts Fall 2010’s top trends will fall into two categories: feminine or futuristic. In one camp, designers like Zac Posen, Carolina Herrera, and Monique Lhuillier are taking cues from old Hollywood silhouettes as seen on the red carpet. In the other camp, fashion-forward thinkers Alexander Wang, Marc Jacobs, Yigal Azrouël, and Project Runway winners Christian Siriano and Irina Shabayeva are taking a more avant-garde, Avatar-inspired take on what’s to come.

As much as I enjoy womenswear, there's something about Milan Men's fashion week that gets me so excited. Besides the obvious — hot eye candy — it's fun to see the latest and who dares to push the fashion envelope. For Fall '10, we noticed a trend toward pants tucked in boots and a ton of collar love.

Paris ended Men's Fashion Week with a big bang as Lanvin, Louis Vuitton, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Rick Owens, to name a few, wowed us with an eclectic mix of runway looks. While Givenchy played around with manly skirts, others, like Dior Homme, focused on slick suiting options. Of course, I couldn't resist showing you some manjoyment from Givenchy's collection.
