This year's biggest makeup trends were all about singular statements. There were extremely dramatic eyes and lips designed to be worn with an otherwise low-key face, like big graphic liner, sultry greasepaint smoky eyes, and highly pigmented ruby and aubergine lipsticks. A couple of sweeter, lighter trends still had lots of impact, like juicy peach lipstick and the pretty "all natural" look. Were any of these trends a big beauty inspiration for you this year? 2010 was a great year for hair, with tons of experimental looks hitting the runways and a renewed appreciation for texture. Most of the best styling options made it off the runway and onto fashionable women all over, whether they were wearing retro-feel updos and bouffants, going natural, braiding away, or getting soft, luscious curls. New Details on Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's Elizabeth and James Pop-Up Shop!

Fashion's Night Out is only 10 days away, and we have exciting new details about the Elizabeth and James Pop-Up shop where we'll be helping to host the bash alongside Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen. Our contest winner will be there with her lucky guy to be styled and meet the famous designers. We're so excited for all the amazing events around the city to kick off New York Fashion Week. Stay tuned for all our updates, but for now here's the very latest on Mary-Kate and Ashley's Elizabeth and James Pop-Up shop:

The shop’s festivities will run from 6 - 11 p.m.

Ashley and Mary-Kate will be ringing up customers at the cash registers from 7 - 8 p.m.

Continuing the inspiration behind the Fall '10 women’s collection, the FNO pop-up shop will be incorporating elements reminiscent of the 1920’s traveling circus complete with a popcorn machine, tarot card readings, and henna tattoos!

DJ Cassie Coane will be providing the music from 6 - 11 p.m.

2010 Spring New York Trend Alert: Return of the One Piece

Perfect timing. After this Summer, I decided I need a new one piece. Though I am a skimpy bikini girl at heart, there are times when a one piece is in order. Be it a swanky pool party or chillin' poolside with the fam, the return of the one piece is upon us. Brian Reyes sent out delicate seersuckers, Derek Lam posh loungers, even sexy fashion beast Herve Leger turned down the volume with a printed baby-blue laser-cut suit. If anyone can prove one pieces can be equally as sexy as two, it's Michael Kors and his clear plastic cut-out noir creation. If only I could have that model's chiseled cheekbones, too . . .

We've been advocating biker shorties for a while now. What can I say - I love the '90s. When I spied lots of them at New York Fashion Week my heart palpitated with excitement. Before you start judging, let me point out the way DKNY wore them: higher, subtle, colorful styles paired unexpectantly under tailored shorts and sleek jumpers. It just so happens, these are DKNY "Smoothies" - the brand's latest form of shapewear debuting in January. The 70-plus denier yarn combinations will come in seven matte finish colors and come in three styles: a bike short, high bike short, and capri style. Start your imagination engines.

Brian Reyes's Properly Designed Rubbers

You can even have style in the bedroom. With the (overwhelming) amount of New York Fashion Week sponsors and collaborations I witnessed last week, one was truly cool: Brian Reyes designed Proper Attire condoms. In the past, Yigal Azrouel designed them, too - these are still available for purchase. And look! Alexander Wang tried his hand at rubber design. I'm still lusting after Brian's Spring collection, but his Proper Attire condoms took a print from his '10 Resort collection. Still, clearly an original Reyes musing. The condoms are $6 for a three-pack (Fab tested, Fab approved).
