Fab Blab: Angelina Jolie Talks About Changeling Costumes

If you haven't seen Changeling yet, I highly recommend you check it out. The Eastwood directed gut-wrenching story features a mother named Christine, played by Angelina Jolie, who loses her son. Tragic and touching. But enough with the spoilers; check out what Angelina recently said about the cool '20s era costumes she wore for the film.

"The wardrobe choices are really the first steps toward Christine," Jolie says. "There is something about the style of clothes of the Twenties that is very sweet. They make you feel a little softer and just so delicate, hidden behind it all. It helped me very much."

To hear what the costume designer had to say about the clothes,

Changeling costume designer, Deborah Hopper states: "It's always a challenge to try to find vintage clothes. Especially with the earlier periods, because these fabrics simply don't last; they fall apart," she explains. "So we went everywhere around this country and then some. We did come up with enough clothes, but barely." It looks like all of her hard work paid off - the clothes look great!

My friends and I are constantly looking for fun places to experience. Last weekend, we headed to the local speakeasy. Unlike typical bars, this place took us back in time with its moody '20s theme. We wanted to blend in with the crowd, so I asked you to help me find a fun outfit that matches the era. Fringe would be fun!

I started you off with this White House Felt Cloche ($48) because it's classic and cool. Let's see what you all came up with.

Rachel Pally's Fall/Holiday collection is right up my alley with the rich colors and interesting but subdued prints - many in her trademark jersey fabric. This collection is a tad more dressed up than usual and '20s-inspired. Standout pieces include a grey jersey jumpsuit, berry-colored dresses, tight mini skirts, and form-fitting, scoop neck tops. I can definitely see myself celebrating the holidays in this collection, feathered headbands and all!

Fixes For These 10 Money Mistakes

Everyone makes mistakes. Business Insider shares solutions for some common money mistakes people make.

Recently, two friends confessed they live check to check - a revelation worsened by the fact that they only check their bank balance once or twice a month.

We called in the finance experts, and here's what we decided they should do to get on track.

"I check my balance once . . . every two weeks."

The mistake: The more we rely on our debit cards, the easier is to go over budget - and risk having our bank misorder the charges to slap us with overdraft fees. It's the reason my friend keeps paying $39 for that Starbucks latte.

The fix: Get in the habit of checking your bank balance morning, noon, and night, says financial expert Farnoosh Torabi. "Rather than compartmentalizing into a once-a-month chore, make checking statements a habitual, daily thing."

"What, my bank offers an app?"

The mistake: Ignoring your balance can make you "forget" about incoming bills and checks waiting to clear, and not using your bank app is careless.

It also keeps you out of sync with your money, something you don't want to do in an era of rampant identity theft.
