I recently heard about a new bar in SF that's right up my '70s-loving alley: Kozy Kar Bar. Apparently, there are waterbeds, hard drinks, shag carpet, and Playboy pinups all around. Sounds like a cheesy good time, no? I rounded up some friends to check it out, and asked you to dress me up according to the groovy theme. Back to Cool: Dazed and Confused

I remember when I saw Dazed and Confused in the theater circa 1993 (15 years ago!) - I wanted to see it again, and again, and again. And, I have. It's probably one of my most worn out DVDs. I love the '70s and this Richard Linklater-directed film is a fun trip. The guys are hot, the girls are gorgeous, the music is groovy, and the cars are cool. All the story lines are exciting and the senior bitches are unforgettable. (One of my favorite Parker Posey roles, ever.) If all you want is a slow ride and to take it easy, soak up this not-too-cool-for-school wardrobe.

Fab Redux: Desert Dreams

After the wave of Coachella fervor this weekend, I was feeling inspired to go '70s vintage. With a bit of digging, I found myself a perfect prize: this vintage pleated minidress.

The loose floaty top is feminine, and the waist nips in just the right place. How Fab would it be with a Coachella-inspired neon bangle or two?

The current bidding price is at $15, and the auction ends next Wednesday, May 7.

If I had to guess, I'd say Mischa Barton's favorite decade is the '70s. The actress, who was shopping for magazines, went back to her roots in a strapless floral dress, denim vest, and yellow sandals. I guess her recent fashion faux pas was a momentary lapse in fashion judgment. I'm glad the old Mischa is back . . . let's hope she stays this way!

A few of the Sugar girls are going to be extras in Milk, the '70s-themed biopic with Sean Penn, James Franco, and Diego Luna! Since the film has some strict wardrobe restrictions, I asked you all to help them get movie ready.

I started you off with this Urban Outfitters Nubby Striped Scarf with Lurex ($18) because it adds a little flair. Plus, it adheres to the costume designer's guidelines of looking authentic. Let's see what you all came up with!

A few of the Sugar girls are going to be extras in Milk, the '70s-themed biopic with Sean Penn, James Franco, and Diego Luna! Since the film is retro and set in the '70s, they have some strict wardrobe restrictions.

The costume designer is asking for nothing too costumey and nothing with a visible brand name: their clothes have to look authentic, so no materials or denim that looks too modern. Think simple flare or straight leg jeans, corduroy, suede, wool sweaters, fringe, and leather boots, and help them put together a film-worthy look.

I'll start you off with this Urban Outfitters Nubby Striped Scarf with Lurex ($18) because it adds a little flair. Come back and tell me your Fab Finds are up, or just tag your Fab Finds with Sugar extras.

Lightwash wide-leg jeans always remind me of the ever-fabulous Claudia Schiffer. It's ironic that these K Karl Lagerfeld Samantha Wide-Leg Jeans ($95, originally $270) are designed by one of Claudia's closest designer pals. Coincidence? And how amazing is that price tag? That's the least you're ever going to pay for a Lagerfeld-designed piece. The pale color, the high waist, and the wide legs are super '70s. Now all you need is a lavender blouse a la Claudia and you're good to groove.
