I'm not a huge fan of smoked salmon in the food world. In the fashion world, however - tasty. Cutie Kristin Cavallari rocked a salmon hued Herve Leger with equally Fab hot pink trimmed nude Loubs. She went there, and I commend her. It might be too much for some, but you only live once. Salmon can be toned down with heather gray or amped up with hot pink, you choose your choice.

The denim cuff saga rolls right along with a fashionista, Sarah Jessica Parker, who isn't a stranger to the trend. The actress spent quality time with her family but didn't let that cramp her style. She wore a cobalt top, cuffed black faded jeans, and an exotic black and white scarf that essentially makes the look. The low black pumps dress it up while the large silver cuff provides some jewelry eye candy. Relaxed, cute, and easy to recreate. Fab!

Trend Alert: Watercolor Ways

For a less in-your-face approach to the overarching artsy trend than straight up brush strokes, there are watercolor ways. Delicate, ethereal, but still crafty, pastel and vibrant hues have formed together to create beauties like Rachel Bilson's Zac Posen. I'm torn - I love the boldness of brush strokes but the mystique of watercolor ways. Guess I'll have to give both a go!

Trend Alert: Brush Strokes

Artists have always been enigmatic creatures. Andy Warhol? Pablo Picasso? Frida Kahlo? The list goes on and on. But artists can even inspire other artists. Such was the case of Marc Jacobs and artist Richard Prince; this inspiration caused a complete bouleversement of the Louis Vuitton Spring '08 collection.

Even earlier then that, Stefano Pilati dipped into the paint bucket with his Cruise collection for Yves Saint Laurent, as daringly modeled by Demi Moore. I'm digging these artsy brush strokes but I know there's different strokes for different folks so are you feeling inspired?

Los Angelenos will be glad to know that Intermix has opened up shop in their city. To celebrate, "The Hills" stars Lauren Conrad and Audrina Patridge attended the debut party last night. I must applaud both of them for looking so classy and ladylike in black. LC went the classic route in her AKA New York dress and rhinestone brooch, while Audrina went sassy in her short Ingwa Melero frock. Sometimes all-black can be boring, but this is not one of those times!

Dress You Up! Mini Dresses

For those who have legs and know how to use them, this is your time to shine. You've been living under a rock if you didn't notice that mini dresses are hot hot hot for Spring. This week I'm all about Dress You Up! and getting you all prepared for the dress surplus of the season.

You will notice my picks are solids with details like rosettes, trim, volume and pockets. I think the classiest way to wear a mini is with dignity; keep the pattern simple and modern and let your legs work it.
