Jessica Alba Makes Her Postbaby Red-Carpet Debut at the Eva Longoria-Hosted ALMAs

It was a star-studded night in Santa Monica on Saturday for the ALMA Awards. Eva Longoria cohosted the event alongside George Lopez and made multiple outfit changes, including a custom Lorena Sarbu dress and a white gown by Monique Lhuillier, throughout the evening. Her Desperate Housewives costars Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross, and Madison De La Garza came out to show their support and pick up an award for favorite TV series during a break from filming the show's final season. Demi Lovato, in Maria Lucia Hohan, was not only a performer but also took home the honor for favorite TV actress. Jessica Alba was also recognized with a statue for favorite movie actress for her role in Machete. It was Jessica Alba's first red carpet since giving birth to daughter Haven last month, and she looked glamorous in a strapless Michael Kors number. Eva Longoria hosted the ALMA (American Latino Media Arts) Awards on Friday night and I can't even keep track of how many times she changed her outfit. I heard a rumor is was a total of fourteen times! Here are just a few of the changes she made. It's hard to choose, but I think my favorite is the strapless red and white mermaid style gown. Announcing the 2012 Independent Spirit Award Nominees

Kate Beckinsale and Anthony Mackie were up early this morning to present the nominees for the 2012 Film Independent Spirit Awards. The Artist and Take Shelter lead the pack with five nominations apiece. Right behind it was Drive, which picked up four nods, including one for leading man Ryan Gosling. The Descendants also scored four nominations, though George Clooney was left off the list this time. Though two of our favorite movies of the year didn't pick up quite as many nods, I was happy to see that Beginners and 50/50 got some love, including nominations for best feature.

Announcing the 2012 Grammy Award Nominations

For the second year in a row, the Recording Academy has given a hip-hop artist the most Grammy nominations. Last year, it was rapper Eminem with eight, and this year, Kanye West leads the nominees with seven chances at the golden gramophone, including a song of the year nod for "All of the Lights." West is also nominated twice in the rap album of the year category for his collaboration with Jay-Z on Watch the Throne and his own album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Brit crooner Adele wasn't far behind Kanye, picking up six nominations for her album 21, as well as a shot at song of the year with "Rolling in the Deep."

Bruno Mars also did well, racking up six nominations (that's down one from last year for those keeping track), while newcomers like Nicki Minaj and dubstep artist Skrillex are up for the best new artist category. Jessica Alba ran errands around NYC yesterday in red pants before attending last night's star-studded CFDA Awards in a Diane von Furstenberg gown and Fallon jewelry. Today, Jessica was casual again to step out with her birthday girl, Honor, and husband, Cash Warren. Jessica's daughter turned 3 today, and the family looked ready to have some festive fun as they left their hotel. Honor, who carried a doll, was dressed up in her finest princess garb and a pin that read "Birthday Girl." The family's big day will be their latest adventure during a stay on the East Coast. Jessica, Cash, and Honor kicked things off over the weekend with a visit to his alma mater, Yale University. They were joined by Jessica Simpson and her fiancé, Eric Johnson, who was in Cash's graduating class, at the school's 10-year reunion on its Connecticut campus. The Alba-Warrens are also approaching yet another milestone, as they get ready to welcome their second child later this Summer.

Cash Warren and Jessica Alba headed out in West Hollywood yesterday after hitting the gym together. The new parents, who welcomed baby Haven Garner Warren in August, stopped for a smoothie at the Body Factory after working up a sweat. Jessica got back to her fitness routine shortly after having her second daughter and showed off her postbaby figure just last week as she joined some of her fellow celebrities at the ALMA Awards. Jessica was honored at the celebration of Latin entertainment and artists with a best actress nod for her work in Robert Rodriguez's Machete. It was one of her first public outings since her new arrival, but she was also on the red carpet just days before having her baby as she debuted her latest collaboration with Rodriguez, Spy Kids: All the Time in the World, in LA.

Jessica made a Starbucks run before picking up her daughter, though her youngest child, Haven, didn't join the girls for their outing. Jess has been hanging close to home since welcoming Haven last month, but she did take a break from mom duty to step out this weekend. Jessica attended the ALMA awards and looked glamorous in a Michael Kors dress on her first post-baby red carpet. She picked up the honor for favorite movie actress while the event's host, Eva Longoria, also went home with a statue. Eva also landed on the star-studded 15th-anniversary cover of Latina magazine and was named one of Variety's Power Women of the Year. All that and she's still going hot and heavy with her man, Eduardo, as they come up on nine months of dating though Eva and Eduardo did deny engagement rumors that surfaced this week.
