Alexander Wang Launches Video Campaign With Abbey, Nabs Zoe For T Fall Ad

We don't need to see a ton of ads to fall in love with Alexander Wang's designs, but that won't stop the designer from taking it to the next level with his latest crop of innovative marketing ideas. For Fall, Wang has scooped up rocker babe Zoe Kravitz to front his T line ad, and he will also be launching his first ever video campaign for his namesake collection. The short video, made in collaboration with Craig McDean, stars Abbey Lee in a Wall Street-inspired backdrop.

"It's abstracted,” said Wang. "Abbey's not walking down Wall Street past buildings, but there's wind and newspapers flying all over the place. It's very moody and seductive - like looking at a perfume ad where you feel for the girl a lot more. Rather than saying, 'Here's the product,' this is more about expressing ourselves." That said, Wang also hinted to a possible fragrance in the future. "I'm thinking and definitely putting together ideas," said Wang. "TBC, to be confirmed." Exciting!

Is there such a thing as sparkle overkill? Nah. The fact that sequins, beads, rhinestones, crystals, and all that glitters have not left fashion for years is a testament to that. Sure, in small doses it can be sweet and pretty, but that's not how Alexander McQueen rolls. Check his bronze jewel-encrusted bodysuit as seen on Abbey Lee Kershaw in Vogue Italia. Fits like a dipped-in-gold glove - head to toe and spiked heel. Her platinum locks further illuminate the scene. If I were sporting this super sparkly bodysuit I'd be hitting the town. I'm like a moth to a flame, but you tell me: freaky or Fab?

While most brands continue to use celebrities as models, Calvin Klein Jeans has replaced Kate Bosworth with real models for its Fall campaign. And these aren't just any unknown models. Abbey Lee, Agnete Hegelund, and Toni Garrn are the latest crop of It models posing for the black and white photos. These are supposed to remind you of the old-school Calvin Klein Jeans ads with Kate Moss and Jenny Shimizu - only these models are fully clothed. I dig the random posing. 2011 Fall Milan Fashion Week: Versace

Abbey Lee Kershaw opened Versace Fall wearing a sharp military coat, like the sexy blond captain of an army of equally sexy soldiers, who marched down the runway in meticulously tailored dresses and coats. The clothes were cut tight to the body and bore geometric cutouts, subtly adorned with military-inspired gold buttons and pockets. Leather made an appearance in full leather skirts with matching leather jackets, a cool mix of badass uniform and chic sophistication. Behind the scenes, it's Donatella who is the real general at Camp Versace, drilling home Italian sexiness. It was a show heavy in black, but Versace's signature colors - turquoise and purple - popped up in an oversized baroque print and two-toned suede lace-up booties. For the finale, things got a bit more celebratory, with flowy gowns bearing thigh-high slits similar to Gucci, and Arizona Muse closing triumphantly in a white beaded gown.

Trends: Military, cutouts, leather, colored fur.
Colors: Black, white, purple, turquoise, blue.
Key Looks: A v-neck shell dress with baroque print, blue fur, and booties.
Accessories: Calf-high suede open-toe booties, some lace-up; bucket bags.

Michelle and Barack Wine and Dine the UK's First Couple at State Dinner

The stars are out in Washington! Tonight the Obamas welcomed UK Prime Minister David Cameron and his wife, Samantha, on the North Portico of the White House for a state dinner. The American and British first ladies looked colored coordinated, although each woman is a fashion trendsetter in her own right. Barack and Michelle Obama are currently hosting a three-day official visit, and even though the queen, not Cameron, is the country's head of state, the president is pulling out all the stops for a state dinner tonight.

Grammy winner John Legend will perform, and it looks like he'll have his swimsuit model fiancée, Chrissy Teigen, by his side. Chrissy tweeted earlier today: "In DC! So we meet again, Barack." Other VIPs include Hugh Bonneville and Elizabeth Lee McGovern, who play the Earl and Countess of Grantham on Downton Abbey. I just can't help but picture them attending the dinner in character as the early 20th century aristocrats. Chevy Chase, golfer Rory McIlroy, Anna Wintour, and George Clooney are also reportedly on the guest list. The 130-piece line will have everything from mascara with an adjustable brush to liquid foundation, lipstick, and glossy eyeliner pencils. Look for a limited rollout in late April, before it's available coast to coast in September.

The campaign is the epitome of grungy cool, featuring top models Lara Stone, Fei Fei Sun, Herieth Paul, and Abbey Lee Kershaw, among others.
