Hey, this awards ceremony looks almost as fun as the Brits! It's good to see that Rainn Wilson didn't put a serious host-face on for the Independent Spirit Awards ceremony, as you can see from these pics... Allison Janney also brought the funny, arriving on stage with dollars hanging out of her cleavage, and Javier Bardem shared a passionate embrace onstage with Julian Schnabel. Cate Blanchett dedicated her award to Heath Ledger, simply saying "This is for him."

MJ Kicks Off Fashion Week With an Homage to Himself

Marc Jacobs threw a little party in New York last night to celebrate the premiere of a documentary about himself - Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton - perfectly timed to kick off Fashion Week, which officially starts today. The man of the hour, MJ himself, looks like he made the rounds (with a red purse) like a good host, saying hi to party guests like Heidi, Helena, Ellen, Lil' Kim, and Rachel Zoe. Take off your hat and stay a while, Josh. I'm thinking that we'll be seeing a lot more of all these faces as Fashion Week rolls on. Fab and Bella are once again in NYC covering all the action both here on the Sugar sites and at Elle.com, so don't miss all the fun. Oh, and if you want to watch the Marc Jacobs documentary to see the man working his magic, check it out Monday night at 8 p.m. on the Sundance Channel.

Paris Has Plenty of Gadget-Themed Parties For Everyone

Last night Paris Hilton rallied the troops to show off the Pink BlackBerry Pearl in NYC. It looks like Valentine's Day came early, as Taylor Momsen (aka Jenny Humphrey), Sophia Bush, and CariDee English got decked out in pink and red for a mini CW reunion. Also in the house was Nina Garcia, who swears by her BlackBerry. Unfortunately, we won't get a chance to see her in action with her favorite gadget tonight since Project Runway is a repeat. Paris also took a time out from posing with gadgets to talk about meeting Nicole and Joel's baby for the first time, saying, "She looks like a miniature version of Nicole and Joel. We had a sleepover on Sunday night at Nicole's mom's house. I was crying when I saw her . . . I am so happy for them."

Stars Get Frisky Premiering P.S. I Love You

The hot guys (ugh, other than the mustache) stole the show at last night's premiere of P.S. I Love You in LA. It seems like Gerard Butler and Jeffrey Dean Morgan were pretty into each other, too, judging from the red-carpet game of grab ass (love it). Gerard said, "Jeffrey Dean Morgan rubbing my ass, yeah that's about as good as it gets!" Other excitement included the fact that Mary Louise Parker was looking hot on JDM's arm - yay for them being back together. Hilary Swank looked glamorous showing of her new movie, while Gina Gershon was showing off an interesting two-toned hair look, are you loving or hating it? While the previews make me feel like I might cry through the whole movie, I gotta say that I can't resist the Gerard/Jeffrey Dean Morgan duo.

Former West Wing Star Allison Janney is her own definition of geek chic. Known for her witty role as Claudia Jean 'C.J.' Cregg, the White House Press Secretary, Janney held the seat as one of the most powerful women on television and was never afraid to use big words and strategy to scare anyone on the show. Last week, Janney joined Molly Sims, Eva Longoria, Josh Duhamel, DJ AM and William H. Macy to support the launch of Microsoft's new operating system Vista.

Another geeky thing about Janney, she formerly lived with Dennis Gagomiros, a computer programmer, in a Manhattan loft. My motto: those who love geeks must be part chic.
