Stunning outerwear is everywhere we look. 'Tis the season. Last night Amanda Peet showed off an ivory toggle coat she wore to the LA premiere of The Spirit. I love so many things about this French-inspired look. It's polished but not stiff, slightly casual but red-carpet appropriate. Underneath the coat, Amanda wore a black and gray striped top, a black mini skirt, and finished the look with opaque tights, black booties, and a black clutch. Trés chic indeed.

Amanda looked just right in an off-kilter Thakoon dress to celebrate her cover on Gotham magazine. Her black-patent shoes with a baby tie are adorable and her woven clutch provides further depth. She let the dress shine with minimal jewelry, but played with her makeup colors and messy hair. Congrats cover girl!

I like the moody print on Amanda Peet's Derek Lam strapless gown, and the color blue always looks wonderful with her eyes, but the hemline is falling a little short for me . . . literally. However, that head piece of hers is decidedly Fab. What do you think?

Hmmm...what exactly does Amanda Peet have going on here? She looks gorgeous from the neck up, but her Marc Jacobs dress looks like something I would have wanted to wear to my prom - if it were 1986. What do you think?

High Drama at The BAFTAs

If you were disappointed with the looks at the Grammys last night, no fear. Across the pond another red carpet was in full swing: the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards. Now this is the kind of drama I like to see on the stars. Some of our faves looked stunning - Emily Blunt, Keira Knightley and Amanda Peet, to name a few. One lady in particular looked more Fab than usual: Jessica Biel in strapless black was a big improvement. Than, there are the risk takers; Thandie is always daring and darling and Sienna in Dior - that back takes the Trifle cake.

On Our Radar: Glamour Magazine is Tee'd Off

For its second annual "Fashion Gives Back" t-shirt designing project, Glamour Magazine has summoned some of the industry's best talents: Thakoon, Erin Fetherston, Marchesa, Peter Som and Jovovich-Hawk. The tees, which will help raise funds for Malaria No More, will be featured in the October issue. Amanda Peet will model Thakoon's tee, Joy Bryant will wear Erin Fetherston's, Emily Mortimer will be clad in Marchesa's version, Ginnifer Goodwin will wear Peter Som's and Catalina Sandino Moreno will show off Jovovich-Hawk's tee.

A limited-edition run of 500 t-shirts (100 per designer) will be sold on Shopbop for $68. For every t-shirt purchased, the magazine and Malaria No More will donate three mosquito nets to women in Africa.

Trend Alert: Hair Panelling

Amanda Peet isn't the only one these days with fabulous hair. She's always had great texture to her hair, but now she's also got fabulous color. Stars and civilians alike are jumping on the new hair color bandwagon trend called Hair Panelling which I was just reading about in the NY Post.

Hair paneling, is great for brunettes because it adds depth and richness to otherwise flat colored hair. Patina wood panels are used to separate your hair as parts of it are painted with one color. In its final stage, the colors are blended together smoothly with a toner/gloss. Ask about it at your salon!
