Move over studs, there's a new embellishment in town: safety pins. These pins have broken out of their sewing kits and into our wardrobe via sparkly earrings, printed tops, bracelets, and slick blazers. America Ferrera feels me. Her Moschino crepe dress would be a safe LBD if it weren't for that amazing safety pin embellishment - such a burst of fun! How punk would you be if you DIY'd your own safety pin creation? Next up we have the lovely America Ferrera, who stepped out in a plunging J. Mendel red dress that's not too casual, not too fancy. Stacked bangles make the look more playful, while black peep-toe sandals chic it up. Do you approve?

Screen Actors Guild Awards: America Ferrera

Here to kick off the 2009 Screen Actors Guild Awards is the lovely America in Vera Wang. She somewhat went the neutral route, but the black mesh asymmetrical detail is a nice surprise. I'm rather undecided on this one; it's different but I'm not convinced the camel color is the most flattering. You decide - love it or hate it?

Golden Globe Awards Trend Alert: Dramatic Folds and Pleats

Trend Alert: A No Fuss Black Coat

The holidays are when you wear your most Fab garb. You're buttoned and bundled up. I have an arsenal of festive wear I better get wearing! But isn't the key to looking good looking effortless? Easy fix: When running out the door - dress, hair, makeup, jewelry, shoes, all in perfect placement - just grab an even slightly wrinkled no fuss black coat and keep running. You'll appear to the party slightly disheveled, but in the best way. See Cameron and America? They showed up at the same event in theirs, both looking polished, but not too perfect. And Jennifer, well, she let her legs and frilly Valentino dress peek out from under hers. No fuss, no problems.

All four starlets of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 looked fabulous at the premiere last night. But America always shines on the red carpet and that she did in her electric blue Brian Reyes dress. Gossip Girl Leighton Meester was also wearing Brian Reyes - a black-slip corset dress. FYI: Blake's orange maxi was Gucci and Alexis's ruched one shoulder dress was Mischen. But back to America. The blue is just Fab, the black-banded belt flattered her figure and her dazzling accessories were perfection. God bless America.
