Angie Harmon Straps Into Rodarte Boots: Love It or Hate It?

Hot mommy Angie Harmon is usually so pretty on the red carpet, so to see her so severe is, well, different. At the 2009 Rodeo Drive Walk of Style Awards last night, the actress wore a loose-fitting maroon dress, but what comes next is questionable. She completed her look with Rodarte's thigh-high gray boots from Fall '09. The boots are super futuristic, but I'm not sold on them with that dress. What do you think?

You know when you can tell a woman is enjoying her frock? Here's when. Angie is the sight of maxi dress perfection at the 8th Annual Chrysalis Butterfly Balli in LA in this sheer green printed and belted Kaufman Franco dress. The print and fit are stellar, but the wraparound, crisscross brown belt takes it to a more interesting place. Angie always manages to look good, no - great, but this maxi fits her personality as well - unique, fun, and party ready. She could have stopped with the exotic dress, but she added further flair with disc chandelier earrings. It's official: statement earrings are redivivus.

Who Wore It Better? Stella McCartney Floral Jumpsuit

I go ga-ga over Stella McCartney's Spring floral concoctions, and apparently so do Rihanna and Angie Harmon. The singer first wore Stella's floral jumpsuit back in April and accessorized with YSL heart sandals and oversized hoop earrings. Angie opted for a more polished evening look when she wore the same jumpsuit to the screening of The Party. Instead of earrings, the actress drew attention to her neck with a chunky heart necklace. Which of these ladies blooms more beautifully in Stella McCartney's floral jumpsuit?

New York Fashion Week, Fall 2008: Oscar de la Renta

As always, Oscar was all sophistication and elegance. The models trotted out to a live performance by Regina Spektor, who crooned and played a grand piano in the background. Full taffeta and tulle skirts swished by, ornately embellished - all with grandeur.

At times, the checkerboard tweed overcoats, shimmering skirt suits, and vivid silks were so beautiful I found myself subconsciously holding my breath. Fuzzy fur toques, beaded shearling vests, and rich jewel colors hinted at a Russian influence. Oodles of dresses for all occasions, Oscar's specialty, were present: day, cocktail, and gown. They all had one thing in common - the appearance of decadence. Ultimately, that's what Oscar is all about . . . a classic decadence.

Trend Alert: Visions in Turquoise

You may not all be aware that turquoise is a color that looks good on everyone. Think about it. Even if you're not a fan of the bright, tropical hue, whether you're a blond, brunette, redhead, tan, pale, male or female, turquoise seems to flatter just about everyone and anyone. A color representing summer and hot weather, I'll admit that turquoise looks even better with a tan. Hence, these visions in turquoise. I know you all loved Angie's brilliant look, but these other ladies stand out in the sea of celebs.

Actress Angie Harmon looks like a sexy and modern mermaid in her turquoise dress at the ABC All Star Party. I love how she kept her bodice covered and showed off her slim (and tan) stems. Other than her purse and shoes, she wore no other accessories, so I gave her pretty earrings to complete the look!

Don't Angie and Demi sort of resemble one another with their wavy dark hair, olive skin and black-and-white Chanel ensembles? There's no doubt these two ladies look classy and beautiful, but I'd rather sport Demi's white dress and checkered jacket over Angie's black tulle skirt and white tank.
