I like the way sergeantkero wears her sequins in the daytime. To tone down the shine, the sequin lovah paired her shimmery navy dress with a black blazer and sliced booties. The dark pieces balance out her flash, and I love how the diminutive palliette provide a subtle sparkle.

There's good news and bad news. The good news: There's no boot dress code this Fall. It's pretty much anything goes in terms of heel height, over-the-knee, bootie - you name it, it's totally wearable. You get the best of both worlds when you wear flat ankle booties. Their witchy, downtown appeal goes perfectly with short hemlines, and they're super comfy. I'm actually wearing mine today with a moody floral mini-skirt, dark tights, white tee, and long cardigan. Believe me, you'll be hooked before you know it.

It was Fab at first sight when I laid eyes on these Giuseppe Zanotti Fringed Leather Boots ($1,025). I can't stop staring. J'adore how the witchy-inspired cut is offset with the folksy fringe - I die. But should I spend that much money on a trend-setting piece?

I'm loving the new US Topshop site. Now, I can purchase these Topshop Amore Fringe Lace Boots ($160) without paying the ridiculous international shipping fee. My feet are thanking the shorter heel, and I love the juicy, plum color.

Look of The Day: We Love Ankle Boots!

In case you haven't heard: ankle boots are here to stay. A favorite shoe from this past Fall, they are a key accessory for this coming Fall so store them away properly during the warm summer months, i.e. in a shoe box or shoe bag.

These are tricky to wear, so I suggest you show some skin, so the boot doesn't crop your leg, and keep the silhouette streamlined. Another option is to wear them with slim pants that hit just at the top of the foot, so you can show off the boots. Have fun with it, but one thing is for certain: WhiplashGirlchild and I love our ankle boots! and you should give them a whirl too.

A few weeks ago, I asked you guys what you thought was the most ridiculous fashion trend for Fall 2006. The resounding winner?
