I have to admit there's a lot of fashion's favorite color - black - in this week's favorites. But, to keep things lively, there's also a daring red Versace gown and a gorgeous teal draped Vionnet dress. It's a pretty well-rounded bunch, actually. But the crown goes to Anne Hathaway, who we haven't seen in a while, in her party-ready Marc Jacobs Resort dress. And check those big, bold earrings. Too cute. Vanity Fair's 2009 International Best-Dressed list has been released, and it includes actors, models, designers, politicians, royalty, and socialites. The ones who made the cut need not have one particular fashion forte - they only need perennial style. Representing Hollywood are red-carpet queens Penelope Cruz, Anne Hathaway, Reneé Zellweger, Kelly Ripa, and Alicia Keys. Angelina Jolie didn't make the list but her man Brad Pitt did. And rightfully so! Our favorite Power Couple Natalia Vodianova and her hubby Justin Portman made it on as a couple, while Rachel Roy and Tory Burch got on solo.

Who is this mystery woman and who designed her bright-ass bag? That would be Fab fave Anne Hathaway on the streets of NYC and Chanel. Double trouble. Anne was obviously in a dress-down mood - black leggings, cute flats, a simple striped top - but behold a gorgeous, plush turquoise Chanel. Anne always requires a slice of glam and her bag baby is as delicious as blueberry pancakes. Pass the syrup.

Fab Flash: Anne Hathaway Might Be Marc's New Muse

UPDATE: A representative for Marc Jacobs has shot down the rumors about Anne and Marc stating, “I’m afraid that is not true. Marc and Annie are good friends, but there are no plans of her appearing in our ads."

Now that Victoria Beckham is busy with her own line, Marc Jacobs has to find new muse and word has it Anne Hathaway might be that lucky lady. "Marc and Anne have forged a fast but very intense friendship," said a source. "They're going to start doing public appearances together soon. If it works well, Anne would be happy to model for some of Marc’s campaigns." Anne is known for taking fabulous fashion risks so it would be amazing to see her as Marc's model muse. Can it be?

We've seen a lot of Anne in Valentino lately; it does suit her feminine side. I think this one is the best yet. She was on hand in Bev Hills to help induct the designer into The Rodeo Drive Walk of Style. She looked fresh-faced in a champagne and pink floral Valentino frock, a Valentino red coat, and nude peep-toe Louboutins. A little surprise is atop her pointer - a turquoise cocktail ring - while dainty earrings keep things pretty. I threw in my new favorite BE&D bag to add a slight edge.
